I brought in the Romona 2 and the Elam shoes by Belle by Sigerson Morrison, both in size 9M. After tracing the soles of both styles, I measured the widths. The Elam is a half an inch wider than the Romona 2 in the same size/width. Although the Romona 2 is a great looking shoe, I must return it.
