Why do I ever doubt the always reliable Zappos reviews? Yes, the back strap on this shoe is too long and falls off. I wish I could order a 6.5, but the smallest it comes in is 7. I ordered a double wide and the width was good. I was surprised, and at first disappointed, to see that this fabric was almost a shiny silk - very dressy, and very incongruous for an espadrille. Shouldn't a casual shoe like this be linen or cotton? But once I put it on my foot, it looked really nice and since once it's on your foot you don't see the rope-like wedge, that incongruity disappears. Still, Bella-Vita, when you redesign this shoe to correct the length of the back strap, maybe you could dress down the fabric, or change the heel to faux wood.

Completely agree with previous reviewer...Was indeed a half-size too large. And the shiny silk was a surprise. Unfortunately, didn't look too attractive on either (makes foot look very clunky, not delicate at all); so instead of re-ordering in the half-size smaller, I instead chose to keep the CABO slides from David Tate, which fit beautifully, feel like butter, and look nice and sandal-like while being a good shoe for heavy (tour) walking.

Super cute style! Bummed that I had to return it. I typically wear a 7.5 or 8 WW in Bella-Vita styles, but this shoe was way too narrow. Also, the linen fabric had a sharp, plastic-like underside that scraped against my toes. I really wish this brand had consistent sizing.

These look lovely, but the sling-back is tight and pushes the toes out the front of the shoe past the edge of the sole. They absolutely run a 1/2 size small, so order up. Unfortunately, these went back. They were not comfortable on me, and my daughter just didn't like how much her toes stuck out, despite the fact that she had space at the heel.

I love these Bella-Vita Sangria shoes! The heel height is perfect and dressy and not too high, very comfortable. Ordering shoes from Zappos is a pleasure! They are very helpful if you have questions and the delivery is exceptionally prompt.

I normally have problems wearing espadrilles because they're usually too narrow. I was so pleased to find a pair in a wide width, I ordered both the red and the navy. This shoe is so comfortable I wore them for the first time traveling cross country and had no problem walking in them all day. This is a very pretty shoe with a slightly shiny silky appearance -- very rich looking for a casual shoe. The red is a bright scarlet that looks beautiful on. They're also very nicely made and look like they'll wear well.

These shoes are really comfortable and the natural silk color doesn't look as pink as I thought it did in the picture. I felt that these were one size too small, however. I originally ordered my usual size but had to return them because my toes were pushing out just over the edge. The next size up fit perfectly for me.

The overall fit was much smaller than marked, particularly in width. If you have wide feet, even the wide-width one probably won't fit.

These shoes run very small and narrow. I'm usually an 8.5 W. These feel like a 7.5 N. Beautiful color.

I ordered my size & usual width. Too too tight. So I ordered a half size up, extra wide, and it was good width wise, but too big. So I'm returning these, too, and ordered my size, but extra wide. I trust these will work. I pray.

These shoes are great and comfortable. I wore them with a brown dress to an outdoor wedding, and they were perfect. I was having trouble with one of my feet all week, and I totally forgot about it wearing these shoes all day. They had the perfect shimmer to dress up a day attire, and I wasn't sinking into the grass all day. These will be my go-to shoe for any outdoor event (and more)!

For the price, I expect more. All man-made materials and made in China--the shoes seem cheaply put together. Tight in the width the shoes don't breathe--too much plastic for summer shoes.

This is a beautiful shoe and can go dressy or everyday. It is overall comfortable although the back strap is a bit too low for my foot and tends to slip.

Bought the green and the pinky-beige...both were too lovely for words, however one of the most uncomfortable shoes ever to be put on my feet. The fake leather backing and not stretch much, and it was hard and sharp, it actually cut my toes...it is such a shame as they were very cute and squishy and comfortable other than the scraping of the toes and hardness and no stretch on the toe box. Sadly they went back.
