Since its inception in 2001, Beeko™ has traversed a long way to become a hip international kids’ shoe brand. Hailing from Montreal, Canada, Beeko pulls inspiration from the lovable honeybee character in Tezuka Osamu’s ‘70s comic book, “Fashionable Beeko”. The Beeko storyline features a high-spirited, trouble-making honeybee named Beeko. Beeko decides one day to run away from home because she is tired of wearing the same-old striped clothing. Later, Beeko meets a frog, Ranetta, who wears shabby, sober-colored clothing. Together, they decide to make pretty dresses in the flower field. This love of fashion carries over today in the fun fashions of Beeko shoes.
Beeko has a design workshop that works with two freelance stylists from Europe to create footwear with fashion and comfort in mind. Beeko provides properly fitting shoes for children of all ages, from pre-walkers to pre-adolescents. Kids are drawn to the bold, bright colors and fun names of the shoes.
