This shoe arrived looking like it had been rubbed with some kind of white paste/polish, on top of the black leather. It also smelled funny. I tried it on, and happily, it fit great. So, I took a damp rag to try to remove the white stuff -- and the rag removed some of that, but also (disturbingly) the black color. There were patches of light brown leather showing...ugh. I'm debating returning these, but like the fit, so I might just see what black shoe polish will do. I think the customer needs to know what kind of "distressing" this shoe goes through. Beware -- it's not a black oxford, and it has a smell reminiscent of the printmaking studio I used to work in. Vaguely oily and industrial.

I am a true size 7 (in all shoe types) and I am with the Aunt Bettie and Aunt Rose which I absolutely love however, the Spy (1½ sizes too big), Funky (too small and does not have a zipper on the side for easy access), Butterfly (1 size too big), and Retreat (too wide) that I have ordered through different websites were all disappointing. With the Lita though, the fit is perfect! Exactly what I have been looking for. A men's style oxford fit for a woman. I bought the brown which is exactly as pictured and did not go with the black because I knew of Bed Stu's odd distress and odor as the previous reviewer mentioned. The slight down side is that when I tried it on the right shoe's leather felt thinner than the left (which is not surprising as Bed Stu shoes are hand-made so not one shoe is alike) but it also felt looser as if it had been previously tried on multiple times. It does not look like it has been worn and it could be just me but I am keeping it nonetheless. I would definately exchange it for another pair in the exact same size if more were in stock though. All in all, I am in love with this shoe and I hope they continue to make more oxfords with the same fantastic fit which is oh so hard to find. Money well spent!

I really do like my Bedstu Lita Oxford shoes. They are definitely very cool looking, but also they are quite comfortable as well. I have received a ton of compliments on them as well. These shoes are definitely worth the price I paid for them!

I love these shoes! They're soft and buttery on the inside -- a dream to put on and walk in. Have not had a moment of discomfort wearing these. They're not too masculine-looking (one of my concerns), and I happen to really like the whitish sort of "distressed" finish that is over the entire shoe. I've worn these with dress pants for work, with skirts, and with jeans -- they're perfect with anything. I am typically a size 8.5 or 9 and my second toes are longer than my big toes. The 8.5 fits just right; my toes don't feel crammed or pinched at all. I ordered a 9 as well, just to be safe, and found that the heel was slightly too large. I would buy another pair of Bedstu shoes in a heartbeat -- the quality and comfort are outstanding. Thank you, Zappos, for your shipping and returns policies! I loved being able to order both sizes to compare and not have to pay to send one back.

I love the look of these! I was disappointed because I tried both a size 8 and then a size 7.5. They seem to run very narrow.

These shoes are beautiful. If you are looking for a quality leather wingtip, spend the money and buy these. I have never owned a pair of Bedstu, but their craftsmanship is superior. When I opened the box the leather smell and the distressed look made me glad I bought these. The size was perfect; however, if you have wide toes, you may find these to be too tight in the toe box, but for me they fit great! Zappos is great, 24 hour free delivery!

These are very comfortable shoes in the footbed and leather (compared to the Frye Oxford, for example). But the laced part of the shoes run too wide/big for me (I have very low arches and narrow feet). I would have kept them if they fit a bit more narrow.
