Ordered a Size 34 belt assuming it would fit my 34" waist. When I got it it was way too small; the leather part of the belt was 34" inches. Seems like an odd way to size belts. I really like the belt so am buying one in 38" and will report if that sizing is correct.

Revised: I just received the size 38 belt and it fits my 34" waist perfectly. Of the five holes in the belt, the buckle goes through 4th (next to tightest) hole so I have room to grow around heavy eating holidays. Make sure you adjust your sizing accordingly. Definitely order up 2-4 inches. By the way, the leather and rivets are very high quality. Would give it 5 stars if the sizing was right.

I had to send back the first one I ordered because it was too big. Many of the reviews here said that the belt was much smaller than the number suggested. I ordered a size 36, which is what other reviewers recommended for a 34 inch waist. Well I have a 33 inch waist, and this was just barely snug on the last hole in the belt, meaning if I lose another 5 pounds, I won't be able to wear this belt. I think a lot of people are measuring themselves based on pants sizes, which are wildly variant. I measured my waist at 33 inches with a measuring tape, and the size 36 belt was too big. I'll be returning it for a size 34. The style and craftsmanship of the belt are amazing, though. I can't wait to start wearing this!

This belt...I am so in love I bought both colors. I wear one as often as possible. I bought a 36 and I am a size 4. It's perfect. I wear it on the tightest notch but that's just fine. I like the extra leather hanging out of the loop...gives me that relaxed look I'm looking for. I 100% recommend buying this...and this is literally the first review I've ever written.
