Beats By Dre Reviews
These headphones are certainly not worth the price you pay for them. Bass is basically the only good thing about these headphones and even then that is not great, and mids and highs are a disaster. HD 598s from Sennheiser would be superior at this price range.
While very comfortable these are a better fashion statement than a pair of headphones, the bass is the only thing even worth mentioning because it's so powerful, but even then it's still not very clear almost as if it just overpowers every other sound like having four subwoofers in a Volkswagen Beetle. The highs and mids are nonexistent, if you don't like listing to all Rap/Hip-hop/D&B all the time then don't even look at these headphones. If you want a real pair of headphones I urge you to take a look at... well everything else really. Sennheiser, Bose, Grado, Audio-Technica, AKG. Even Sony and JVC make better headphones than this for half the price or less.
Short review: Awful quality compared to competing products, You are paying for a brand name, not for a brand's quality with these. Obnoxious sound leaks make you look like an idiot in public, and let background noise in continuously. Longer Review: I wanted to get a "real" set of headphones to replace the earbuds that I've been using for a while now. I decided to give these a try and was horribly disappointed by the quality. Yes, they've got a solid bass function, and certainly a high volume threshold, but that's all I can say in terms of positive aspects. The sound quality was far below what I get on my old Bose earbuds (which cost half the price of these), the beats give a far less crisp sound, with lots of static. In addition to that there are several media devices, which despite having compatible input jacks, do not work with these headphones (Nintendo 3DS, for example). On my phone they play music on the player fine, but give no sound to youtube videos I watch. These are NOT worth the price, you are paying entirely for the Dre name, not the quality of the product. I've been happier with $18 headphones from Wal-mart than I am with these. Sidenote: The fact that these are studio headsets mean that in public places with lots of background noise you are tempted to turn up the volume, unfortunately they have a very poor seal and leak sound like you wouldn't believe, not only are you forced to damage your ears with excess volume, but you annoy anyone nearby who is now forced to listen to your music. Save your money and put them towards something with noise-cancelling ability that won't make everyone on your bus route/in your mall/on the street hate you.
Don't buy these. Period. They look nice, and that's about it. This are not worth the price you pay, more like $50. The bass is loud, but uncontrolled and muddy, what I'm trying to say is, when the bass drops, you can't hear anything else. If you like that, by all means, waste your money if you want to. I prefer getting the V Moda M-100. The look great, sound infinitely better. Sincerely, someone who genuinely cares about sound quality.
I purchased these for my daughter because she loves music so much. She and my son love them. They are simple to operate and the sound is amazing! I could not wait to try them myself. I love music and singing too!
While these headphones do sound good, similar sound quality can be had for a lot less. When you buy this product you are paying for the brand image, not the sound. Take a look at a pair of Sennheisers and you may be impressed.
I have exchanged my Beats Studios twice in 30 days, so that tells you that they can have a lot of problems. A lot of static noises from my broken ones. Anyway, the bass is extremely good. No other headphones are better, in my opinion. Although Bose QC15's noise cancellation is slightly better than Beats, I do not like the design of Bose QC15. But in general, I love the design (very stylish), the extra cushioning, and the sexy colors. It might be a little uncomfortable because it sort of squeezes onto your head, but it is better than them falling off every time you turn your head. I recommend these. These are nice.

First of all let me tell you I came looking for another pair of headphone to replace my Sennheisers that would fall off my head, as they would adjust snugly enough to not fall from my head when looking down to see what strings I am playing while hearing my metronome through the headphones. Also the Sennheisers would cause my ears to ache after about an hour of wearing. Now mind you I come with a lot of issues that most standard people will not! I am a hot mess! I am a disabled veteran who has suffered two near fatal vehicle accidents while serving overseas. I suffered two served head injuries, bother closed-head so there were no holes-no surgery. I also have severe hearing damage so I cannot hear a metronome easily & my guitar instructor is amazed how I can tune it out! No! I just cannot hear it! So a good set of head phone with the sound up to a decent medium level so it is heard over my MESA Boogie Amp is needed! I was amazed right away! I also use them for my music listening which is a part of my guitar lessons, study. I have a 6?-7¼ size head, depending on the uniform hat or helmet gear. So I was surprised the Sennheisers would slip of my standard sized head! The Dr. Dre's Studio BEATs fit nicely and for me, my hearing and head issues, I tilt them +/- 5 degree slightly to the back. The sound a low medium level even for me is outstanding! I can hear instruments in pieces that I never knew these instruments had been in there before! Also! I heard complains on the battery life. I have over 5½ hours on the original pair of batteries still and counting. Some folks just like to complain! I am amazed... everyday is a gift for me and my guitar lessons help enable a higher quality of life for me even with all my disabilities and the Studio Beats. Well all I can say about them is that I am sorry that I did not get them sooner! You really will enjoy these! They provide a tremendous kick for each nickel spent!
I have been seeing a lot of comparisons between M50s and Beats Studio, well over all I must say if you want a very flexible and cheaper brand with right around the same price as Beats solo, go for the M50s but if you would like more of a sturdy and comfortable brand with better bass, go for the Beats I do not own M50s but I do own Beats Studio which I love, In the end they are good if you want the sturdiest get Beats Pro for a bit more, but the only real difference is design and material use. The best Beats Studio, are the best!

These are not even close to being the best cans for the price. Bass is strong but muddy, mid and highs are weak for this price range. Listen to units by Beyerdynamics, AKG and Sennheiser. Most of them will blow these Beats away!
These are by far the best beats you can get they far surpass any other Beats, but if you listen to anything other than rap or pop these are utterly useless. The bass feels completely unnatural and they mids get somewhat over powered by the bass. Also, if you listen to anything with treble be prepared for those highs to turn into mids. Overall its a good set of cans but there's much better ones for the price.

These are the best headphones around. The bass and mids pop like no other. Bose are comparable but just not as good. I bought mine thru Amazon and received them 18 hours after I placed the order! I have been enjoying them for the last week. Definitely highly recommended.

Established in 2006, Beats Electronics is the brainchild of legendary artist and producer Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine, Chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M Records, who set out to develop a new type of headphone with the capability to reproduce the full spectrum of sound that musical artists and producers hear in professional recording studios. In January of 2008, Dre and Iovine announced a partnership with audio innovator Monster Cable to engineer "Beats by Dr. Dre," the most advanced headphones ever developed.
