I purchased this when it was on sale here at Zappos and I am glad I did. These where purchased to be my winter boot for work as I need some thing that looks nice and will be warm. They fit nicely and are warm although it has not gotten cold yet to really try them out.

An overall impressive boot, you feel like you have a good pair of shoes on. Snug at first, but break in with wear. Very warm.

They seem pretty durable and I expect they will last. So far I've put just over 2 months on them and they are holding up pretty nicely. My only concern is with the tread; because of its fat-spike design, not much tread touches the ground and this increases wear on the parts that do and the design does help with traction in snow and mud, though. Wear is still moderate and I think it will last me at least this year. Something to think about though if you do a lot of concrete walking (this is my only reason for 4/5 instead of 5/5). No qualms with the zipper. It's definitely HD enough. It took me a little bit to find the right "spot" to where I could easily utilize the zipper for taking them on and off. Now that I have, I love these boots. They're warm but not hot. Haven't used in wet weather yet. Great buy.

First time buying with Zappos and I would recommend them to everyone. I ordered my regular size and received them the following day. The boots ran a little small for me. I called and they sent out the next size at no charge. The boots fit great and feel great. Great job Zappos!

Thank you Zappos for coming to our rescue so quickly! We ordered the Bates Footwear GX-8 Gore-TEX side-zip boot and they arrived in perfect condition...and quick!
