I must say that these boots I bought are the best I ever had. They are better than Magnum boots. They have superior grip like no other. Believe me, when I walk in the fish, meat, and produce markets in the Bronx you don't slip at all.

Let me first say that I have been wearing Bates boots for over 14 years now. I use them mainly for work boots because they were built tough. These new boots are a totally different animal from the Bates of old. The zipper looks like it belongs on a little black dress instead of a pair of boots. Every aspect of the new Bates boots seems to be whimpified. I just wanted to let fellow long time Bates wearers know. The pics are so vague you can't tell.
