Awesome! This is my 2nd pair of Bastien boots. I have a pair I bought from Zappos 3 years ago.. and they are brown waterproof suede that STILL look great.. and I wear them all fall and winter long! I bought these (Genesa) in the grey (that InStyle is claiming the new brown/black to be worn with everything) Guess what, they are right! These go with a ton of skinny jeans as well as leggins! They are true to size and the inside is lined with a warm fabric. Nice arch support and semi round/pointed toe. I have had them on a few hours now and I can tell I will need a gel heel, but I do that with all my boots anyway. They have a nice tracking on the bottom for no slippage. It\'s supposed to rain today.. so we will see how they look. So far I love em.. and as usual I got them in 48 hours! Thank you Zappos!

This is my new favorite boot. Very cute style, quality suede, and comfy fit. I haven\'t worn them in the rain yet, but they certainly kept my feet warm in the office. I bought the brown; would love to get the gray.

Waaahh! Super cute boots but tiny like another reviewer said, could barely shove my foot in. The issue wasn't the calf circumference, just the foot part. I know website has a caveat about the size marked on bottom is inaccurate, but it says 8 (I ordered an 8.5) and they're at most an 8. More like a 7.5! I would need a 9 or 9.5 and of course not available in those sizes! Great Zappos service, cute boots, going right back.

I received these shoes three days ago. I loved the way they fit. They're very comfortable and very warm at the same time. The only downturn was the color. I got them in cognac because they did not have the black in my size. I'm a 27 years old woman and the color was too loud for my taste. They're going back today.

I just got these boots and after trying on more than ten different pairs of waterproof boots by different well-known manufacturers, these fit me the best. I have a narrow heel and ankle and found if they fit me lenghwise, they were often too large through the heel and the ankle. These are perfect. I also find the boot fits great through the calf; snug enough without jeans tucked in, but not too snug when they are. The sole is the best: good traction but not in a visible way on the sides, making it great for skirts and slacks as well as jeans.

Such amazing boots that I bought it in both black and gray. Beautiful detail and the slouch stands up so well. Comfortable and water-resistant. I was not familiar with Bastien, but these boots have not disappointed! I bought a size 9 in these boots since I plan to tuck skinny jeans in them and wear socks, although I am usually 8.5 in shoes. Great pair of boots.

Beware: Canucks have skinny legs! Alas, I will never know the comfort of the furry lining. Nor can I comment on whether this boot felt true to size or had good arch support. I couldn't zip the darn skinny shafts up. I'm only 10-15 lb. overweight, but these boots made me feel like a water buffalo. Yes, my calves are muscular, but puhleeeze. Olive Oyl, these boots have your name all over them. (They sure look nice, though.)

Excellent winter boots for walking - These are fantastic. Comfortable enough for long walks and just stylish enough to make them look cooler than typical "winter boots." You can get away wearing these with a knit dress or cropped wool pants.

I just got these boots in the mail and tried them on very eagerly. It is summer still but I wanted to be prepared with some boots that were stylish and okay for work but comfy, waterproof, and able to handle the snow. I've been disappointed by other stylish boots that are not comfy or stable for walking to work in the winter, but I have to say that I love these boots. Admittedly, they have not been snow-tested yet, but they are built with snow and slush in mind. They are furry inside, have a toothy sole, and are not too clunky. They work with thick socks and look fantastic! I am a librarian and am all about researching and finding just the right thing. These are the only boots I found that mix style and function! Now I'm ready to kick butt when winter comes and fear no snow pile. Thank you Zappos and Bastien!

These are great boots! They look good and are wonderfully warm and comfy - with a soft, thick lining and springy soles. The only downfall, to me, is they have absolutely no arch support. I was looking for a pair of stylish waterproof winter boots and these totally fit the bill.

Great for large calves - I have very large calves which do NOT fit into majority of high boots. These boots are adjustable and I can comfortably zip these up my leg. And when I lose the excess pounds I’ve been carrying the last year, I can further adjust the fit by zipping up the smaller side gore zipper. Literally perfect. I also normally wear a 7.5M, but I got these in 7.5W and they fit great. I think the 7.5M fit too narrow. They also feel comfy.

Just received my boots today and they are a keeper. They are the most stylish serious winter boots I have ever found. Living in Maine I sure get sick of clunky snow boots all winter. The inside all the way up to the top of the boot is lined in an incredible soft faux fur. I can tell they are going to be really warm. Almost makes me look forward to another Maine winter! I like the square toe and it is really roomy in the toe box. I can wear them with heavy wool socks. I am thin and have trouble finding a boot that isn't too big in the calves- these fit nicely. If you have large calves they may be tight.

The boot was way too tight around my calf. I was surprised because I'm a small person. It seemed like it would be comfortable otherwise.

My calves are just a little over 14 inches in circumference and there was just too much "gappage" for me to keep these. The boots have a cozy, fleecy lining, too. Just not right for me.

Shh... This company is a delightful secret!I've been searching for the perfect black suede boot and this is it! The insides have a short, fury lining. The suede is luxurious, not cheap. I started to wear the boot around the house and started to love each cushioned step. I have muscular calves so I'm sending for the next half size up. I can't wait to wear these out. This company is now on my favorite list. Go Canucks!

Awesome boot - This shoe felt true to size. This was extremely comfortable. I just had foot surgery less than two months ago and I was able to wear this boot to a holiday party and was comfortable the entire time. I highly recommend it.

Fabulous boots, perfect for Chicago winters - My sister wanted a truly waterproof snow boot that was warm and cute. I looked EVERYWHERE for good options, and this was the perfect find. She loves the boots and claims to wear them almost every day.

Great boots for the snow!I wore these in Colorado in really deep snow when we went sledding and my feet stayed dry. I didn't slip when climbing down a steep part of the snow covered mountain either. I thought the look was cool too!

Very cute - a little snug - These boots are exactly what I've been searching for - something casual to tuck skinny jeans into. They are a couple of inches below the knee and rather snug in the calves, but lots of room in foot. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to tuck my jeans into them, but I think the leather has stretched some as I've worn them, so I decided to keep them.

LOVE these boots!I love, love, love these boots!They are warm, waterproof, and super cute under pants or with skirts. A great all around winter boot!I have a wide foot, and these were surprisingly comfortable right out of the box. I am so used to having to break shoes in, and this was such a relief!The only thing I will say is that they don't have a lot of arch support, and since they're pull-on, it's hard to put in an insole. But they are still very comfortable, and I can walk around all day in them in comfort!

Perfect!The boots are everything I was looking for. They are warm, foot has good traction, and they rock with a pair of jeans! They have double zippers, and the braiding really makes a statement, even though I was just looking for a good cold-weather boot.

Cold in Portland - I spent a lot of time looking for some great winter boots and tried these. They're wonderful--wore them in the slush and they were completely dry. I love the look, although the round toe does look a little bulky. They're incredibly warm and easy to wear, with or without socks.
