Waaahh! Super cute boots but tiny like another reviewer said, could barely shove my foot in. The issue wasn't the calf circumference, just the foot part. I know website has a caveat about the size marked on bottom is inaccurate, but it says 8 (I ordered an 8.5) and they're at most an 8. More like a 7.5! I would need a 9 or 9.5 and of course not available in those sizes! Great Zappos service, cute boots, going right back.

I received these shoes three days ago. I loved the way they fit. They're very comfortable and very warm at the same time. The only downturn was the color. I got them in cognac because they did not have the black in my size. I'm a 27 years old woman and the color was too loud for my taste. They're going back today.

I just got these boots and after trying on more than ten different pairs of waterproof boots by different well-known manufacturers, these fit me the best. I have a narrow heel and ankle and found if they fit me lenghwise, they were often too large through the heel and the ankle. These are perfect. I also find the boot fits great through the calf; snug enough without jeans tucked in, but not too snug when they are. The sole is the best: good traction but not in a visible way on the sides, making it great for skirts and slacks as well as jeans.

Such amazing boots that I bought it in both black and gray. Beautiful detail and the slouch stands up so well. Comfortable and water-resistant. I was not familiar with Bastien, but these boots have not disappointed! I bought a size 9 in these boots since I plan to tuck skinny jeans in them and wear socks, although I am usually 8.5 in shoes. Great pair of boots.

Beware: Canucks have skinny legs! Alas, I will never know the comfort of the furry lining. Nor can I comment on whether this boot felt true to size or had good arch support. I couldn't zip the darn skinny shafts up. I'm only 10-15 lb. overweight, but these boots made me feel like a water buffalo. Yes, my calves are muscular, but puhleeeze. Olive Oyl, these boots have your name all over them. (They sure look nice, though.)

I just got these boots in the mail and tried them on very eagerly. It is summer still but I wanted to be prepared with some boots that were stylish and okay for work but comfy, waterproof, and able to handle the snow. I've been disappointed by other stylish boots that are not comfy or stable for walking to work in the winter, but I have to say that I love these boots. Admittedly, they have not been snow-tested yet, but they are built with snow and slush in mind. They are furry inside, have a toothy sole, and are not too clunky. They work with thick socks and look fantastic! I am a librarian and am all about researching and finding just the right thing. These are the only boots I found that mix style and function! Now I'm ready to kick butt when winter comes and fear no snow pile. Thank you Zappos and Bastien!

These are great boots! They look good and are wonderfully warm and comfy - with a soft, thick lining and springy soles. The only downfall, to me, is they have absolutely no arch support. I was looking for a pair of stylish waterproof winter boots and these totally fit the bill.

Cute Boots! Super cute boots - I got them in the light brown. Unfortunately, I found the calves were too big (unlike the other reviewer). My calves are just a little over 14 inches in circumference and there was just too much "gappage" for me to keep these. The boots have a cozy, fleecy lining, too. Just not right for me.

Shh... This company is a delightful secret! I've been searching for the perfect black suede boot and this is it! The insides have a short, fury lining. The suede is luxurious, not cheap. I started to wear the boot around the house and started to love each cushioned step. I have muscular calves so I'm sending for the next half size up. I can't wait to wear these out. This company is now on my favorite list. Go Canucks!

Awesome boot - This shoe felt true to size. This was extremely comfortable. I just had foot surgery less than two months ago and I was able to wear this boot to a holiday party and was comfortable the entire time. I highly recommend it.

Fabulous boots, perfect for Chicago winters - My sister wanted a truly waterproof snow boot that was warm and cute. I looked EVERYWHERE for good options, and this was the perfect find. She loves the boots and claims to wear them almost every day.

Very cute - a little snug - These boots are exactly what I've been searching for - something casual to tuck skinny jeans into. They are a couple of inches below the knee and rather snug in the calves, but lots of room in foot. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to tuck my jeans into them, but I think the leather has stretched some as I've worn them, so I decided to keep them.

Nice stylish winter boot - First, these do run LARGE. I normally wear a 6.5, sometimes a 7. I took a chance and ordered the 6 and it fits. I wanted something that was a bit dressier than a standard winter boot and had a little heel height. These fit the bill. I can wear them with slacks, jeans, and even a longer skirt that isn't real dressy. These will be great for a wet Portland, OR winter.

This boot is really comfortable and pretty warm for the Chicago winters. They are cute and it is easy to fit any kind of pant into the boot because of the zipper and the laces. My only complaint is that when the streets/sidewalks get really slushy, some water soaked through the boot to my foot.

Calf too small - I absolutely love the look of this boot! It is just what I've been looking for, for months. I was so disappointed when I received these boots today and discovered that I could only zip them up a few inches above my ankle! I wish this came in a wide shaft option. I am dishearted to have to return them, as I have not found anything I like better. They felt so comfortable and I would have loved to have worn them more than 2 minutes!

Finally a keeper! Love it. I wish it was a tad bit taller but that is my only complaint. I tried on SO many boots before getting this one, finding most were either too baggy in the ankles or too tight in the calf (I'm pretty average, 5'5", 124 lbs). These fit great-- a little tight in the top but they give well and I can see they are going to wear in perfectly. At first, they were a little tight across the toe, but again, they are wearing in and were never uncomfortable. Love the grippy sole and the height of the heel-- enough to walk in rain and snow but not so much as to be making an unintended 90s fashion statement. They are a little lighter in color than they look in the photo but just slightly. More authentic leather/suede colored. I normally wear a size 7 and I was going to order a size up because of the comments, but I forgot. Just as well because 7 fits me perfectly and there is plenty of room in the toe.

Hard to find this style with desired function! I have searched high and low for a nice looking (pointed or squared toe) boot with a heel that I can actually walk in and is comfortable (and not a full boot). Why do our shoes have to be comfort OR style?? Comfort = ugly toe (rounded) super low heel OR style = tall pointy heel that clacks when you walk on tile & hurts? This is the best of all worlds w/ weather proofing too. NOT BAD...Browns looks a little nicer in the photo, but comfortable. Don't seem worthy of the $ (more in the $40 range), but can't find them anywhere else!!! Run a tad big maybe, I just wear boot socks. May order in black a 1/2 size smaller.

I normally wear a 7-1/2 wide. I ordered a 7-1/2 double wide and could not even get my foot into it with a thin sock. I also tried a double wide 8 (to allow for a thick sock). I could get my foot in, but only with a thin sock. Once the boot was on, it felt very stiff and uncomfortable. Back they went! I'll try a different brand next time.

Too small! I was really excited about these boots but was sadly disappointed. I ordered my normal size and they were so small I could hardly get my foot in them. I honestly thought they had sent the wrong size. I couldn't get them zipped up my calf either like the others.

Great boot, waterproof with style and a heel! These are great. I had to walk through 18 inches of snow in these and my feet stayed dry! They are very comfortable and wear well. I highly recommend these boots!

Bastien Ivy Boot - Unfortunately I had to send this item back to Zappos. I did not find the width of the boot as described as running wide per previous reviews. I found the boot to be quite true to size. I had ordered a half size larger than I generally wear. The boot was not only too wide for me, but a little long. The ankle did not have a lot of support. The overall boot was very cute, but the actual item did not look as portrayed in the Zappos photo. The boot has white fur, not black. All things considered, Zappos has been a delight to deal with and I will do so again.
