Great style, great shoe. I really like these shoes. True to Bass form - the break in period has been about 6-8 hours of wear (and taking them off and putting them on again). They are stiff when they arrived. But, after wearing them in the evenings after after work, only a few days later they feel great. One oddity - water droplets on the hemp colored portion changed the tone of the leather where the water made contact. It disappears once the water dries. But caused me a few minutes of wondering if I had dropped paint on the shoes or something. I do wish Zappos sold shoe polish of various colors so that it could be ordered with leather shoes. Long story short - they look great, after the break in period they are smooth and comfortable, and the give me a great sense of durability of the shoe. Having purchased a pair of Florsheims at about the same time, I will probably buy Bass again when the black and whites come out again (presumably in the springtime).

Well am I, or am I not, the coolest guy in town with these shoes? Pair 'em up with a nice argyle sweater (Hey! Why not buy one from Zappos? http://vip.zappos.com/perry-ellis-l-s-cotton-abstract-argyle-crew-eclipse.) These shoes make me want to dance. I should add, though, they breaking these shoes in was very uncomfortable.

Overall, these shoes are poppin'. The sole is rubber and has a definite amount of give which is a good thing and I'm sure will make them more comfortable in the long run. Everything seems really sturdy and well made on this shoe - the eyelets for the laces are grommeted, the stitching is tight and strong, and the aglets are not made of a material that will deteriorate over time.

I liked this style and checked it out, but with the shiny calf (almost plastic-like) and tan toe cap, this looked more like a bowling shoe than I wanted.

Great shoes. Really stylish and well made. Relatively comfortable but a bit stiff which is to be expected. I ended up walking around a zoo in them for several hours the second time I wore them and got blisters...not recommended. Haven't broken them in enough yet to determine daily use comfort level but except for excess walking they feel and look fantastic. I would buy them again for certain.

The prompt service could not be better. The quality of the product exceeded my expectations. I am in a wheelchair, therefore going out to shop is a major ordeal, a freaking hassle. My son loves saddle shoes and Zappos is the only place I can find them. They are delivered promptly and they are beautiful shoes. I would recommend Zappos to everyone.

I was so looking forward to this for a new saddle shoe. I ordered the 9.5, my standard size. It was way too big and noticeably bigger (.25-.5 inch longer measured) than my other Bass 9.5 saddle shoe. I ordered a 9, and it was too small, tight around the toes, and too short. Disappointing.

The shoe is awesome but it feels way too big. I normally wear a 10.5 in all dress shoes but this one was a little too big.
