I love these boots! I got them in a size 8. I normally wear a 7.5, but ended up getting them a 1/2 size up and they fit fine. I can wear with socks and I can fit my jeans inside with no problem. The boots are very cute and stylish. Not the most comfortable boots but definitely wearable. Kudos Zappos.

Cute, but stiff and not very comfortable - These boots are cute as heck, but only passably comfortable. I have slightly narrow feet and normally buy size 8 and wear thick socks and a 3/4-foot padded insole, so I ordered a 9 hoping they wouldn't be too big. Well, they're too small! I can easily wear these with a very thin dress sock, but have no room for an added insole, which these need badly as there is very little padding in the sole. The leather is also very thin and stiff; I can feel the stiffness in the shaft when I walk. Plus, the entire boot is so thin there's little protection from the cold. I agree with another reviewer that they'd look best on those with long calves as they do visually shorten the leg just a bit. On the plus side, they're cute as heck and great for thin calves. My calf measures about 11 3/4" where the top of the boot hits and it fits great. I'd say up to a 12" calf can be accommodated at the top edge. As far as color goes, the brown is more like a light black - a very versatile color that can go with both black and deep brown clothing. Overall, buy these boots for looks, but not quality or comfort.

I didn't believe the other reviewers who said to order one full size larger than you wear...but I should have! It definitely is. Also, this boot is really, really perfect for people w/thin calves!

Good for narrow calves - I ordered these last year and had to return them. They looked great, but I wasn't able to zip them to the top and there was no way I could have gotten jeans in them. They would be great for people with skinny legs. They do run small - make sure to order a full size larger than you would normally need. I'm a 7.5 and I got a 9 and that was the right size for me with winter socks on.

Full size smaller at least - I’m a size 11, but these definitely were waaaaay too small and looked like a 9.5 or 10 at best.

Way too small - I had to return this boot because it was entirely too small. I even ordered a size larger like the review said and they were still to tight too small. I loved the look of this boot though very, very cute, just too small.

I had to return this boot because even though I had ordered a size 6 (when I'm just a 5.5 usually) the shoe felt like a 4.5 to a 5. I took off my socks and still it was very tight -- so much so that I could not put it on easily. I was beginning to think maybe I mistakenly chose the size but the shoe said 6! I think there must be a problem with sizing here because my feet are a consistent 5.5-6 and narrow. The height of the boot flatters only tall women and in my opinion would make those of smaller stature look shorter, especially if one is wearing a long coat. The height of the boot cuts off your body at an awkward level. They looked very stylish, although I don't think they would withstand the cold or the snow because the lining inside was not thick. Finally the boots, with the shearling lining, look casual and less dressy. If you're picking out this boot I would suggest getting the brown pair because it is quite a dark shade of brown and appears more versatile and easy to match with other outfits than the black pair and definitely the white one.

Not so great for big feet... I was so looking forward to receiving these shoes, but it's a no go... They're so chunky that they make my size 10 feet look gigantic and clunky. I didn't like the look of the sole (and a lot of it shows). Also, while I had really wanted a boot with shearling lining so I could wear them barefoot, it hadn't occurred to me that shearling is WOOL. Itchy itchy itchy. Maybe it wouldn't have bothered me so much in the winter... The shoe does appear to be very well made and durable, but otherwise not for me. Oh well.

Lightweight, warm, foxy! I love these boots--they feel delicious on bare feet and are sooo warm. They look superhot with jeans tucked into them. Love! I usually wear a size 6 in dress shoes and sneakers, but I bought a 7 so I could wear heavy socks if I want to, but I don't think I'll need them!
