When polar explorers trek to the North or the South Pole they subject their footwear to the most demanding conditions imaginable. Day after day they exert themselves to the point of exhaustion, pulling their equipment over the rough and unrelenting terrain. They lose as much as one pound of body weight each day in perspiration and burned calories. At night they sleep in small tents where the temperature can drop as low as -60°C (-76°F), freezing their boots. Cold feet and blisters, that might not be given a second thought in other situations, can be fatal in this environment.
While traditional molded boots are suitable for some conditions, they are not ideal for cold temperatures. In the early 90s Baffin realized that if they combined their leading molding technology with a foam-based inner boot system, they could create a new hybrid style of high performance footwear. Since then Baffin has developed new materials and combined them in new, innovative combinations. A good example is the unrivaled 8-layer combination of materials that are used in the boots that are rated for -100ºC (-148ºF).
Over the years, Baffin has created a line of industry-leading footwear that performs in extreme conditions for an ever-growing list of loyal users and activities, including snowmobiling, ice-fishing, hunting, mushing and working in industries like construction, oil, mining, forestry, and outdoor winter recreation. Because of this, Baffin has become the leader in footwear for all your cold weather needs.

They really are like sleeping bags for your feet! Wear them around the house, the campfire, sleep in them, and when they get dirty, throw them in the wash. Excellent. One word of caution about sizing - order 1 size up.

Mostly Okay, but with a few issues these ultra-light slippers are extremely versatile and pack-able. There is a big stitching seam inside that hits your toes right at the toenail, and is very uncomfortable after more than a few minutes of wear.

The best and ugliest slippers I have ever owned. Hands down. They are wonderful slippers despite their appearance. Does a woman work at Baffin? Clearly not based on the color selection. My husband got these for me for Christmas (at my request -- because I probably would have cried if he picked these out without me knowing what they were about). I love them. They are a custom fit because of the draw string mechanism. They're not bulky (so no tripping hazard). They have a non-skid bottom (the non-skid sole makes a suction/sticky sound for the first couple weeks but that goes away). I have wood floors throughout 85% of my 3000+ sq foot home so my feet get cold in Ohio winters. These keep my feet so comfortable! I don't think I'll ever own another kind of slipper.

I have bought a total of four pairs of this style slipper for my 95 year mother who has swelling in her feet and legs. The first pair I bought was the camouflage color because that was the only color available at the time. She loved them, and she wore them with all her pink frilly pajamas and nightgowns. I kept looking for a better available color for her, and next I found them in this espresso color. That was a little bit better. Finally, pink became available. I bought two pink pairs, and my mom and I are both in heaven! This is the only style she will wear. They are so comfortable and they conform to the shape of her foot. Also, I don’t have to worry about her tripping over loose slippers, because these have a heel and they stay securely on her feet.

Warm and cozy. These are just exactly what they look like: little sleeping bags for your feet.

Love these slippers! Just like having sleeping bags on your feet. My feet are very sensitive due to Raynaud's Syndrome and must be kept warm. I put these slippers on first thing in the morning and my feet are never cold. I don't even need to wear a pair of socks, like I usually do with other slippers. The fleece bottom lining is not as fluffy as it was when I first got them, but I expected that would happen with constant wear. I will definitely purchase another pair of these, as I'm sure I will wear them to death!
