When polar explorers trek to the North or the South Pole they subject their footwear to the most demanding conditions imaginable. Day after day they exert themselves to the point of exhaustion, pulling their equipment over the rough and unrelenting terrain. They lose as much as one pound of body weight each day in perspiration and burned calories. At night they sleep in small tents where the temperature can drop as low as -60°C (-76°F), freezing their boots. Cold feet and blisters, that might not be given a second thought in other situations, can be fatal in this environment.
While traditional molded boots are suitable for some conditions, they are not ideal for cold temperatures. In the early 90s Baffin realized that if they combined their leading molding technology with a foam-based inner boot system, they could create a new hybrid style of high performance footwear. Since then Baffin has developed new materials and combined them in new, innovative combinations. Ok, I read all the other reviews and thought they couldn't be that great. But I've had them about 2 weeks now, and yeah, they are that great! They are super comfortable and look great. The pictures don't do them justice, they're much better looking in person. These shoes got broken in quicker than any other shoes I've ever had. They're warm, but not too hot, even in NC. The aggressive tread makes sure you don't slip. They're so easy to get on and off, they're great for when you have to run out of the house in a hurry. Overall, these are a great pair of shoes and worth the buy.
I highly recommend the Baffin Pacific clogs for style, fit, and all day walking comfort. They have a sporty, rugged appeal, and look great with jeans. They have enough room at the toe box for wide feet. If you have narrow feet, you could wear thicker socks such as ones by Smart Wool, and they should be fine. I wore these clogs all day at Disneyland and had no problems--no blisters, and no aching feet, ankles, or calves. No need to break them in. Thank you Zappos!

Baffin Pacific - I love the shoes and haven't taken them off. I am a size 9 and they are true to size. They are extremely comfortable. I am going to get another pair. I have osteoarthritis and the shoe has actually helped me.
Very comfy support - I needed to find a supportive winter run around shoe. I have extremely sensitive feet and it's very difficult for me to find good supportive shoes that don't hurt my feet. This shoe is a great combination of good support and comfort.
Love this boot!First of all, I can't believe how fast I received this boot. Ordered online on Saturday and they were delivered noon Monday! And I live in a small town in western MN. I wanted something easy, but warm, to slip in and out of to run next door or to the store. Hate having to work at getting a boot on when all I want to do is run to the garage and back! Also very comfortable… I love them!
Comfortable snow clog - I tried three or four different types of winter slip-on. This one fits best, stays on, and gives good enough support to wear all day. I love my Ugg-style Minnetonka sheepskin boots but it's like wearing slippers, by the end of the day my feet are exhausted. These are great for traction and waterproof. Not beautiful but very practical.
This is a very cute shoe but runs large. Even with socks on, my feet slipped out of it and sometimes it would come all the way off my foot. I bought the smallest size available, so I had not choice but to return it. Too, bad, because it is cute and would have been quite warm. Unless you wear super-thick socks, I'd recommend sizing down.
Baffin's Pacific - LOVE these shoes! I've just moved to the DC area from Florida, and everyone has been telling me that I need a sturdy slip on shoe to go back and forth to work in the Winter ... well I haven't taken these off since they arrived! And it's not even Fall yet. Super comfortable, and as good as my hiking shoes with the bottom nubs! Because I knew I'd be wearing them with thick socks, I ordered a half size up ... but even without socks, they feel great.
Hard to fit feet!Tried numerous other brands with zero success! Too tight, loose, uncomfortable or just looked bad! Baffin's Pacific is the only clog type shoe I can wear all day and feel comfortable. If you have wide feet and high arches Baffin Pacifics fit nearly true to size or in my case 1/2 size up.
Happy with my Baffin Pacific!We live in the country and I am running outside all the time for various reasons and wanted a shoe that would easily slip on and off and withstand the cold and wet. Baffin more than meets my requirements! They are warm, at zero; absolutely comfortable to walk around in, even on rough ground; and they look so nice which makes them fun to wear. I do have to wear a heavy sock with my narrow foot but I wanted them for winter so that is not a problem. I have worn them a lot already and I am confident they will hold up well. Already I am thinking I want another pair of Baffin.
Great Christmas gift - Gift for my son. Perfect fit, true to size, comfortable, lightweight, waterproof and WARM. He Loved these boots. My daughter is looking for the ladies version!
Weaknesses - The shoe is warm, but its polyurethane upper part is not strong enough, not lasting the second winter, all of it tore down suddenly, showing weakness at sewing lines.
