My husband wears a size 14 shoe, but his toe box is basically square. Normal dress shoes do not fit him well and tend to pinch his foot. The DUKE is the perfect angle/squared toe box for him. We have ordered this shoe over and over. Not sure what we will do if it is ever discontinued. Great shoe.

Buyer beware! Zappos was top notch with a return. Bought an 11. After minimal use, my foot was sloshing around in an 11. Returned for a 10.5. Completely different leather. My foot is tight. There has been no give at all. I would say the difference between 10.5 and 11 is effectively 2 sizes. Yes these boots are gorgeous, but sizing is way off. To Boot addressed the issue also and their response was generic at best. I am an 11. In To Boot, I am a 10.5, but these are snug. Bottom line, either your boots will stretch or they won't. Not sure where the problem lies, just advising.

These shoes are absolutely beautiful. Super high quality, stylish, and just like all To Boot New York shoes extremely comfortable. To Boots are my go to brand for dress shoes and dress boots.

Classic driver! The dark brown leather is great on the Harpers, they are very soft and break in quickly. My issue was sizing, they fit a little between sizes. The 12 was massive but the 11.5 is a little snug compared to other To Boot models.

While these boots have some odd design details, they are extremely well-made, attractive, and comfortable. The uppers are made of supple calfskin, possibly box calf. The patina is sensible, with a tad more shine at the cap than the rest of the boot. At the back of the boot is one pull tab, but it's very short and hard to grab, so keep a shoe horn handy. There is a subtle linear fold running lengthwise down the middle of the upper, which gives the boot a modern appearance. The side elastic panels, which are sandwiched between the inner and outer layers of leather, raise the leather noticeably at the hindquarters. Some might find the lengthwise fold and raised leather details unattractive for adding visual distractions to a traditionally simple and sleek boot, but I think they add modern flair. It's a matter of preference. The rubber outsoles have thin feather edges, a result of the boots' Blake welt construction, and beveled waists, both of which define the boots' elegant profiles. They're not as waterproof as Goodyear-welted alternatives (as the stitching goes through the insole, which allows water to wick into the boots) but Chelsea boots aren't designed for rainy weather anyway; their hallmark elastic side panels allow water in easily no matter how the boots are welted. As others have said here and on other sites, the boots are a half size big. I normally wear a 10.5 US (9.5UK), but the 10 US fits perfectly. The toe box is elongated, as is the case with most formal Chelsea boots, so consider getting a full size down if you want to downplay the toe box design and plan on wearing thin socks. There was no break-in period; they felt "worn-in" from the first step. Remember: the side elastic panels will accommodate your feet if the boots are a tad snug, but you can't tighten the boots if they're a tad loose. I took a star off in the "style" rating due to the subtle lengthwise fold on the upper and the raised leather portions at the hindquarters, but those aren't flaws so much as quirky design elements. To Boot footwear is made in Italy and designed in New York, so I knew these wouldn't be conservative and stodgy (otherwise I would've bought English footwear). The boots are very comfortable and durably constructed, so I still highly recommend them.

I bought a pair of these and in three months holes in leather souls and the upper leather has cracks in the leather. Italian made, more like china made. I paid full retail and online they are half the price. I feel these shoes are cheap. I would be better off buying a shoe for 50 dollars at Walmart that hold up better than this. If there was a lemon law on shoes, they would be replaced in secs.

Fit true to size. Very comfortable right out of the box. I got several compliments on the blue stitching. Overall highly recommended.

Like all To Boot shoes, the Ashton displays impeccable style and durability. The blue stitching plays wonderfully off the brown suede and the design choices make it unique driver. I do have some drawbacks with the shoe; namely comfort. The Ashton is a true driver shoe and due to the placement and possibly shape of the outsole as well as the thinness of the insole, the shoes become uncomfortable to walk in after about a mile. Also, I find that the entire brand of To Boot New York shoes to be a full size too large.

Chose Aidan over Magnanni Bonete because it appears more sleek from the top and has softer leather. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a perfect fit. 9.5 was too narrow, so I ended up going with a 10, which fit in width, but is slightly long. I have another TBNY cap-toe that fits perfectly in 9.5.

Oh how I wanted to love these, and I did love the way they look but since there is no support inside and the leather is sooo smooth, my foot wound up sliding around inside. They are not comfortable enough for this price, even though they look awesome. They are also exceedingly heavy.

A great looking & feeling shoe. It is not a true Burgundy - more like a dark brown. I would definitely buy again.

I was looking to replace my dress shoes and had Cole Haans a while back but felt they were too heavy, had Edmond Allen pairs to replace it and while very comfortable, felt they wore out too quickly. Then I remembered a To Boot New York causal pair that I've had for years and love. So I'll try these. Initial impression is that they look classy, solid and fit well. True to size.

I am not sure why To Boot cannot get their sizing somewhat standardized. I normally wear an 8D, towards the wider end of that range. According to what I have read about sizing these boots, people suggest ordering down a full size. Since I would not mind a bit of extra width, I just ordered an 8. I knew this would run long, with To Boot's weird sizing. That is OK though. This was altogether a bad assumption. Even though the boot is a bit long, just as I knew it would be, it is far narrower than I would expect. It is far too too tight for my upper-D width foot even though I am a full size larger than is suggested. It will need to go back. Also, there is no padding at all inside. The sole is not a commando style, but it is some type of rubberized plastic. It is harder than a typical rubber so you will get less padding and it is slicker than typical commando rubber. The leather itself looks wonderful, and is really soft. In some spots it feels like glove leather. It looks great. But it is also thin, especially around the ankle area. The boot is light too. Looking at it and feeling it, this boot is all about the style. You will give up some comfort as a result, and my feeling is it would not last as long as well as some similar boots.

I am a fan of To Boot New York shoes because they fit my narrow foot well. These hold true to the great fit and comfort I am accustom to. The color is more of a reddish tan, so beware these are not a traditional tan. I have a similar shoe from TBNY in a cognac color and there is not much of a difference between the two. Still glad to have it and will continue to buy more TBNY!

I like the styling of this brand, this is a good simple design. Runs a little narrower than another To Boot shoe that I have in the same size, didn't expect that. In general, to boot shoes seem to run half to full size larger than normal, so get a smaller size than you are used to.

I bought these boots because they have a very slim and sleek style. I think they look amazing. I'm a big fan of the captoe and the fade-to-black staining on the toe. I'm not going to go on any more about the style because you can just look at the photos. The leather was not too stiff and it was not already sporting the "worn leather" look that some shoemakers will do for you. I prefer to wear my leather in myself. After a couple weeks, the leather around my ankle bone was rubbing against me and it was uncomfortable for medium to long walks. I tried lacing it tighter, but the rubbing was just caused by the bending of my ankle and foot as I walked. It went away after a little while, and I've had them for over a year since without trouble. Once they broke in, they were quite comfortable. The insoles could use a little more padding, but you could probably swap out the insoles if it really bothers you. I walk around New York all day and it doesn't get to me, but I'm in my 20s. The soles have good traction. I wear these around in the winter all the time (except for when the snow would actually go up around the boot. They seem to be water-proof, but I don't go off trying to soak them, so I'm not 100% certain. After a year, they look really nice. They've creased well. The leather is decently stained through, so minor scratches won't be extremely noticeable. The one negative thing is that the backsides of the eyelets scratch the leather tongue in between the laces. You can't see this when wearing the shoe, though, because it's laced shut. I'm quite happy with these shoes and will continue to wear them and resole them as time goes on.

Not a fan of the decoration in the heel area, doesn't seem necessary. Shoe is generally pretty comfortable, leather is good, not great. Overall happy with it.
