I have been wearing this shoe for over 15 years, and am on maybe my tenth pair. Incomparable comfort. I put on a new pair, and break-in is just not an issue. I am on my feet for hours each day, and this is the shoe that lets me do it. I wish they were more stylish, but I am willing to make the trade-off for supreme comfort.

I needed a low-heeled dressy black sandal for summer and this is perfect. The heel is nearly flat but not clunky and the straps are comfortable and elegant.

I love this purse - buttery soft leather, perfect size, simple style, handy pockets...I am so sad to have to return it, though, as the non-adjustable straps are way too long for my 5'2" frame.

The 4/5 Rating is specific to the "Black/Espresso Color." Brown color in the Black/Espresso shoe - The "Espresso" brown used in this combination has a Grey/Olive hue to it which is not at all what I expected. I've worn Ecco shoes for over 10 years, and have many pairs in brown, and I've loved every brown that I've seen until the "Espresso" color. I am currently wearing the Biarritz Classic Cap Toe in "fudge," and the Atlanta Plain Toe in "Mink Kalahari," and love those - it's just this Espresso brown that I dislike. Comfort - As someone who works on their feet a lot, I've gravitated towards Ecco shoes for their comfort. Every Ecco shoes that I've ever worn has been very comfortable, and these are no different. However, I've noticed that the "Comfort Fiber System Insoles" are noticeably thinner and provide less arch supportive than versions made years ago. I compared the insoles to a pair from about 10 years ago and noticed a major difference. The new insoles are thinner and have very little arch support (no stiffness in the arch), as opposed to the older insoles which were thicker with a very firm arch. This was easily remedied by purchasing the "Ecco Orthopedic Insole," but it's a shame you need to spend extra to get the support that used to be "standard." Size - This shoe fits like all other Ecco dress shoes, and runs about 1/2 to a full size big. I normally wear a US Size 9.5 and wear size 42 in Ecco dress shoes.

Karl Toosbuy wanted to make shoes that did not need to be broken in. They should fit like a glove. That became the beginning of ECCO’s revolutionary concept: to create shoes that were more comfortable, lasted longer and enabled people to move naturally.
By making shoes that outlast trends and allow the foot to move naturally, we free people to live more actively and spontaneously. It lets our wearer go further, stay longer, do more and be more.
