This shoe is fun to walk in, I feel it engages my legs and butt more than without them. It's a bit awkward going downhill if my dogs are pulling me. I normally wear a size 6 1/2 and sometimes a 6 in shoes, this one I got in a 6, the 6 1/2 was definitely too big, the toe area is very roomy, maybe even more than I normally need.

These shoes were comfortable from the moment I put them on. It took about a day for me to get used to the toner sole though. I felt a bit like I was standing in a rowboat! But I definitely could feel my legs were getting a better workout just walking. Love the support my arch gets. I thought they were true to size.

Loved Zappos fast shipping and if needed free return shipping. I didn't, but it made choosing this site easier. These shoes are attractive -- nice colors and are comfortable after a quick "break in" period. I have very high arches and these are good for that. Would recommend the site and product. I am impressed!

I read some of the other reviews that indicated the shoe ran a little on the large side so I was surprised that I felt they ran a little on the small side. Once I got the right size, I loved them right away. Very comfortable.

It took about 3 days of a few hours a day to get used to these shoes. But, after that breaking in period, I used them everyday on a tour of Washington DC. They were great and I lost weight, tightened up in the nether regions and felt wonderful. Is that all due to the shoe? Don't know but it didn't hurt! I love em.

This is one of the three pair of Avia Toner shoes I purchased based on the recommendation of my orthotist, after being fitted for my knee brace. I love them all, but these are my favorite because they rock less than the others so I can wear them all day. My orthotist recommended Avia overall for athletic shoes, but I am going to start with walking. I was a bit skeptical when I saw the price point, but I am not going to second guess this recommendation. I usually take a size 8W, but this style did not come in my size and I had to purchase an 8 1/2M. As far as style, this is one of the better looking rocker shoes.

These are great! Comfy, functional and cute. The color hides the dust on our (SW boonies) property I have to contend with when I exercise, but they look great with jeans in town as well.

These are very comfortable and stylish. It didn't take long to get used to the rocking motion, easy to walk in. My feet had been starting to hurt after walking with these they don't.

Excellent shoes. These are easily the best walking shoes I've ever worn. Even when I'm tired after a long day, I just spring to life when I put these shoes on. The rocking motion is pleasant and invigorating. I have very difficult feet but these felt great from the first moment. Zappos customer service is the best on the planet!

I normally take 7.5 but had to get a size 8 in this particular shoe although I took 7.5 in other Avia styles. Glad the size 8 fit because it's great for walking and goes well with jeans or khakis!

I love these shoes. I have fascia in one foot so badly there were days I could barely walk without a handful of Advil. I was to the point of considering surgery after being excused by my chiropractor and a month of acupuncture. I went shopping for something/anything that didn't hurt my feet immediately. This model was the first pair of shoes that didn't hurt my feet in 6 months. I purchased them before our State Fair and spent a week in them walking concrete in a cattle barn. Amazing. I'm now on my 4th pair of the AVI-Motion shoes, just ordered the iburn :). I loved this model, and I have it in another color, but the sole did not hold up to the barn waste if you get my drift (4 months worn everyday). There is a soft V in the sole and it seemed to be eaten away by the things I step in. Some of the other models do not have that and have lasted much longer. Might have to buy another pair of these, just because I liked them so much and they don't look like tennis shoes with jeans. I recommend them to everyone, but our local shoe store quit carrying them. :( So happy for Zappos.

I must admit I have been skeptical about making a purchase through Zappos; not because of the products but shoes are sometime funny& when all you can see is a picture. I have been made a convert! The order process was easy, the guarantee understandable, the delivery made in a reasonable time, and I really like these shoes. I was having some back issues and this type of walking shoe was recommended. They work for me!

Very nice shoe overall, but the lace eyelets are simply holes in the leather without metal lining, and the laces are incredibly hard to loosen or tighten.
