I love these shoes. There was no breaking in period, as they were comfortable from day one. The mesh helps keep feet cooler and avoids irritating any bunions you may have.

I usually like Avia shoes. I got these for casual shoe use. I like the non aggressive look. These shoes have some of the best arch support I have come across, even in more expensive shoes. This is important to me because I have a mild neuropathy. I would probably not wear these shoes as an everyday work shoe but for casual wear half a day it has worked out perfectly for me. If you like wearing heavy socks, get half a size larger.

Great fit, very comfy right out of the box. It is a "toning" shoe, so it has a bit of an uneven sole which I hadn't expected, but I got used to it very quickly.
Brands I'd also recommend: Prince tennis shoes

I love these shoes! I had a similar pair from another brand, and they didn't seem to do anything for me, but I can really feel it in my calves and backside when I'm walking in these. They're very lightweight as well, unlike so many other walking shoes I've tried.
