Athletic daughter loves these shoes for running/training. One of her teammates has asked for ordering details, she loved them so much when she borrowed them. That said, these are competitive athletic kids who weigh under 100 lbs, the shoe is light and we ordered in fun colors. I don't think this daughter will wear anything other than Avia for many years; it is the ideal fit for her long skinny foot. They take a pounding and still look sharp, since we have the black body shoe, no dirt shows. And at the price, it was a good value for a child who is still growing.

Got these today. They haven't had a full test but my initial assessment is they have a nice amount of room, especially in toe box. Very sharp looking. The only thing I'm unsure of is it doesn't seem to provide as much arch support as other Avia shoes I've owned. I usually do cross trainers and this might be more of a running shoe. I think it will work pretty well for my kickboxing class though.

I love the comfort and simplicity of this shoe. I have them in black, and they are very nice looking for a black sneaker/running shoe. They are so cushy and comfortable, the kind of shoe you can wear all day long. I wanted a lighter pair for the spring and summer, so I came back for the silver/purple combo. I can't say how they are for serious walking, as I use a super supportive pair of Brooks for that. But you can't beat these for casual comfort! I need a 7.5 in a running shoe, but these were fine in a 7 with plenty of room even with cushioned socks.
