Avia really knocked one out of the park so to speak with this one! This new model is light as a feather and makes my feet feel great when wearing them. They look great and are about the lightest shoe I've ever worn. Zappos, as always had them here in no time.

I really liked the style and the shoes look great in person. Unfortunately these shoes have no sole cushioning whatsoever. I returned them.

This shoe is incredibly light weight and very breathable. It has great flexibility and almost perfect cushioning. A simple gel foot sole can fix that if need be.

Terrific shoe for those looking for something midway between a fully cushioned trainer and a minimalist. Size up 1/2. Not for heel strikers. Ultra light and perfect for midfoot strikers. Great racer or fast training runs.
Brands I'd also recommend: Adidas Adizero's

I was actually surprised at how light these are. Nice arch support and they run a bit wide which is great for my feet. They actually seem to have more support than my older Asics. At first glance the only cons I could see about this shoe is the padding is a little stiff (may change with break in) and the sole of the shoe seems a little delicate; I'm not sure how well they'd hold up to lots of gravel or dirt running. I would say these are great for daily wearing, walking, low impact (cross trainer, weight lifting, biking). If you're running a half marathon, I'd go with a little more cushion.

I really like the great air flow, extreme light weight, and soft, comfortable fit. I use full-length custom orthotics, which fit perfectly, leaving plenty of height in the toe box. The Avia shoes I've bought recently have worked really well with my orthotic inserts. I would definitely buy these again.
