I have a love/hate relationship with these hiking boots. I have an extremely narrow heel, and I get horrible blisters with these when I wear them hiking. Took them to my custom bootfitters, had insoles made, had the heel crunched to keep my heel from popping up and I still get blisters. If your feet are not extremely narrow, you will love these hiking boots. I can wear them walking in the winter on flat terrain (no inclines) and the traction is pretty good on ice. I love the orange color.

I've now worn these shoes for several hikes and can honestly state that they are great! I have a hard time finding shoes that accommodate my left foot - which I broke over 20 years ago. They'll feel fine in the store and fine for the first couple of miles and then my foot starts hurting. These shoes go the distance. And they are cute!

Best hiking boots. Asolo Stynger is so reliable and gives me very good ankle protection yet so comfortable. It has excellent traction and support. With mid weight hiking socks my usual size fits perfectly. No break in time. No blisters. I love them.\r\nIt\'s hard to find a perfect pair in Manhattan because there are very few good speciality stores for hiking shoes. With Zappos\' free shipping both ways policy I could try a few different pairs without worrying about returning the ones don\'t fit.

Wonderful boot - Great support, easy to get in/out of, & comfortable right away, except that I had to get it a little large to accommodate an extra long second toe and a very wide foot which means that it's a little large over all and I'm having to figure out the right sock combination to totally customize the fit for myself. I have a small foot (4.5 in length), but take a 5 to 5.5 in a boot for comfort. I tried the 5 and the 5.5; the 5 actually seemed to be the same length as the 5.5, but was more narrow and squeezed my little toes, so I got the larger (5.5). A special quality to this boot for me is that even though it's technically "too long" for my foot, the uppers do not break awkwardly and uncomfortably across the top of my foot when I step. Where the shoes "breaks" is a frequent problem for me, especially with shoes that are more supportive/stiffer, because they're often designed to break at a certain point and if your foot is shorter than that for which the shoe is designed, then you're in trouble. But the uppers on these boots are not like that--they break where you need them to and so I have absolutely no discomfort on top. The lace placement is also great and allows for easy comfort adjustments. For extra comfort, I put pink Superfeet insoles in them. The boots work great for strutting along because they're light and flexible, as well as for climbing over rocks and navigating rocky, uneven trails and tricky steep trails with gravel. As soon as I get the sock business down, I'll be in heaven!

Very Best Hiking Boot - These boots can be worn right out of the box. No blisters, no breaking-in time. They wear well, and they look great. Over time the orange color becomes more brown, but I still get compliments on these boots.

AWESOME for the snow too! I bought these boots so I could walk in the snow. I live in Seattle and the roads have been closed or undrivable. The traction is great and they are so comfy and stylish. Great winter boot!!!

I love this boot! This boot feels great on my feet, which are a little wide at the toes and narrow at the heel. The lacing system holds my heel firmly and there is plenty of room in toe box. The boot is sturdy and great for all types of hiking. There was no break in period necessary and I have not gotten any blisters. The only problem I've had is the sole at the toes delaminated from the boot after about 3 hikes! I had to return that pair, but got another pair of the same boots and haven't had that problem. I still love the boots even if the soles delaminate again because they are soooo comfortable! Hopefully, that won't happen. My friend got the same boots and also loves them and she hasn't had any problems with hers.

3 years strong - I live in Montana and these boots are the only shoes I wear after December 1st. I bought them three seasons ago and they still look new. I reseal them every season with a nubuck/suede sealer and my feet have still never gotten wet, even on lengthy hikes and creek crossings. These boots are by far the best investment in footwear I have ever made. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to own the same pair of boots for years, because these will last ya'.

Shoe Size: Felt a full size smaller than marked Shoe Arch: No arch support Shoe Width: Felt true to widthWrong sizing - I wear 11s, but as usual, these women's 11s were too small. My foot is 11 inches long. I don't know what kind of sizing charts they use. Good that with boots it doesn't matter if I buy Men’s...

Asolo Stynger GTX is a good buy - I have only worn them a couple of times but so far so good. The boots seem really durable and they look stylish. The only issue I am having right now is some tightness in the ankle and it is rubbing on the outside of the bones that sticks out the sides. I believe that is because they are not broken in. Good ankle support and toe protection. I have not had them in wet conditions yet but I think they will do very well. I plan to take them hiking in Utah this weekend!

Easy to break in boot - These boots were great for difficult hiking and in the snow. They took very little time to break in. Only thing is buy an extra pair of shoelaces- they broke after a week of wear. Otherwise great, comfortable boot.

Blister City! My last two pair of hiking boots were Asolo (530's), and they're one of the few brands that fit my narrow, low volume foot. When I first tried on the Stynger, I thought I was golden. They felt great around the store and house. Then I did a short 5 mile trek in the Adirondacks, and my feet came back blistered beyond belief. There was no breaking in this boot, so it was returned. My niece bought the same boot (against my recommendation) and had the exact same experience. They are too rigid and inflexible. It's like walking in a plastic case with no protection from rubbing. Even moleskin didn't work. I wouldn't recommend them to anybody, and I'm shocked all the reviews came back so positively. Other sites say the same thing I'm writing about this boot.

Sweet Boot - Everything I expected from Zappos! First Class! Very Sweet Boot! I ordered 1/2 size larger for very thick hiking socks...

Wonderful! Used them on several day hikes as well as Kilimanjaro. The tiniest hot spot on my heel the first day I wore them, but otherwise comfortable and wonderful.

Nice Boots - The boot arrived on time and looks exactly like the picture. I would say it fits true to size, and the width is true to size. The only thing I felt it needed was a bit more padding on the inside of the sole, and some arch support but I fixed that with a gel insert.

Great Boot for Narrow Feet - I had just about given up finding a hiking type boot for my narrow feet. A salesperson at a hiking shop in North Carolina told me to check out Asolo hiking boots because they "ran narrow". Having heard this hundreds of times I was hesitant but am so glad I did. They only stocked up to a 10 and I needed a 10.5 so I headed straight for Zappos hoping I could find my size. Luckily I did and now I have bought two pairs of these boots. They are great! Even though they are classified as medium width, they are really narrow. Actually they fit 100% better than most "narrow" shoes. The build quality seems very good and the structure is good for hiking, walking etc... I do add an insert with arch support in all my shoes and did with these as well. I would highly recommend this boot for someone having trouble finding a narrow hiking boot. Love it!

Shoe Size: Felt a half size smaller than marked Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support Shoe Width: Felt true to widthI bought this boot in an 8 and after wearing it for several hikes, found it to be 1/2 size too small. Had to re-order the same boot in a 1/2 size larger. Very good ankle support and water proof.
