I have gotten these for my 7yr old boy the last two years in the blue/silver and red/silver. They are great looking athletic shoes! My son really likes the ease of the velcro straps especially while at school. The velcro straps on these shoes work and stay in place very well. Great shoes!

These are really great shoes for an active five year old that is not quite ready for lace-ups. They provide good support, nice styling and reasonably durable for a nice price. We have had several pairs in multiple sizes.

The shoes arrived the very next day. My son loves the fit. He also pointed out that he likes not having to tie his laces several times a day. Looks sturdy.

Sturdy, comfortable sneaker for my picky 6 year old. I like that it has laces so they look like big kid shoes, but they still close with velcro, so he can easily take them on and off. My son does not have a particularly wide foot, but I found that the wide size in these shoes fit best. The velco was too short to go across on the regular size.

We started a family 5-K training program for our kids. We needed a pair of "good" running shoes in a kids' size 2. These were one of the only options I could find. (I found none locally.) I was worried that the velcro strap wouldn't cinch the shoes tight enough. But, they seem to work perfectly. My son likes them so much, it is hard to keep him wearing them only when we run!

Hands down this shoe is the best sneaker I've owned for my son. It looks better in person and he can get it on and off by himself. Perfect shoe for those who cannot tie yet.

This is a really nice looking and comfy shoe for my 6 years old. The reason why I bought this is for my son to practice tying shoe laces but the mistake I made is that I did not know that this has fixed laces. Because I really like the look of this shoes, I decided to modify it. I have cut off the fixed laces and replaced it by regular one. Now my son is learning plus enjoying the comfort and nice look of this shoes. I hope that Asics will make one with regular shoe laces.

Choose this shoe for my 5 year old nephew. He loves them,they are easy for him to put on and go. They look much better than the shoes with 2 velcro strips. I understand from him they are also very fast.

These shoes looks cute and my son loves that they have "laces" as well as velcro. However, they don't wear that well. That black flap on the toe comes unglued or unstitched pretty easily. We have had 2 pairs in the same size already. My son is very hard on his shoes, but these don't seem to stand up well to a 4 1/2 year old boy.

Pretty good shoe - my 7 year old has had them about a month and there is some wear in the front but he is hard on his shoes at school (on the asphalt part of the playground). I liked the price considering his feet grow so fast.

Great shoes for my 4-year-old. He loves them! He calls the his "running shoes". He wants to wear them everywhere. They are very easy for him to put on himself.

My 4 year old has worn these shoes for about 8 weeks now. And, I already need to replace them. They are trashed. There's a hole on in the top mesh material and the stitching on the strap has separated from the velcro. This is the first pair of shoes I have had to replace for him before he outgrew them. On a positive note, they were easy for him to put on and off by himself.

Excellent shoe! My 6 year old loves these shoes! They are easy for him to put on and he loves the colors. I ordered 1/2 size bigger because his size wasn't available and they fit great.
