Great sneaker for my active 5 year old. Easy slip-on access allows for my little put on and off at his leisure. Fairly durable thus far (1.5 months)..no fraying as mentioned in other posts. He does have another pair of sneaks that he wears. Cool color scheme. He likes wearing them so I imagine that they are quite comfortable. Great shoe
I'd also recommend: Brooks Pure Flow, NB

We bought these for our 7 year-old because he hasn't mastered tying his laces and these have a hook and loop with fake laces so they don't look like baby sneakers. He also loved the fun colors. However, these sneakers are not made well at all. You can see bad stitching, glue and other glitches. We bought my son a pair 6 months ago in neon green and within days there were parts of the sneaker that were fraying. They now have holes at the toes and the hook and loop closure has separated from the actual velcro. These are my son's only pair of shoes so he wears them everywhere and all of the time, but I still thought they'd last longer. Only bought a second pair because he loves them and options are limited until he learns to tie his shoes. They are definitely not worth full price. The sale price is more accurate and what we paid last time at a fancy department store, but we paid the full price because my son loves the blue and red colors. Also, from experience I found Asics sneakers to fit a more narrow foot. These sneakers fit snug and would feel tight on a very wide.
