I ordered these shoes for my 8 year old son in July for the new school year. He did not wear them until school started the end of August. Its November 1st, and he just showed me two big holes in the mesh on both shoes. He wanted the Nike high tops for cheaper, but I liked these because they were Steeler colors, and they looked like better shoes. He has had the Nikes for a while, and they are still in great condition; he just grew out of them. He is not hard on shoes. I would say these are just bad quality. We love Zappos and would not let this stop us from ordering from them.

Usually I do not order Asics shoes for myself nor my son. The color of this shoe appealed to me so I purchased the shoes for him and I'm happy I did! Great look, comfort and support! He loves them!

I am a huge fan of Asics Nimbus so I decided to get these for my son. He loved the color and fit. With in 20 days his shoe had hole in the mesh near his toe. In true Zappos fashion they allowed me to exchange them. They have amazing customer service. I would not recommend these shoes but I will order another style of Asics to replace them.

I bought these for my 9 year old. I have had great luck with this brand, but these wore through on the sides in less than 3 months and he only used them for school. Zappos service is great and they gave me a full refund. Thanks Zappos.

Great sneakers that really helped my 10 year old son, who was having foot problems. Unfortunately we had the same experience as many, going through two pairs in less than 5 months. Same story, hole in the toe. I am currently sharing your feedback directly with Asics. Please note that I did not purchase these from Zappos. Wish I had.

Asics shoes have held up better than any brand for my eight-year-old son. He says they are "comfy" and likes the bright colors. I like that they do not show dirt or wear out as quickly as other shoes that he has worn, his previous pair lasted nearly a year.

Don't waste your money. My 8 year old son chose these because he liked the colors. I agreed because I thought Asics was a decent brand. Wrong! He's worn them only a couple of months and already there are huge holes in the mesh of both shoes over his small toes. Will be back on Zappos momentarily looking for another brand.

Unfortunately, I too just found this same issue when I looked at my son's shoes today. Other than the two holes in the same spot on both shoes, they look brand new. I received them beginning of February. Zappos has great customer service and is doing a one time exchange for me.
