Shoe is narrow, so not a good choice is your foot is normal-to-wide sized. I didn't feel too much cushioning, either. Back it goes!

I was looking for a good pair of X-trainers. These, overall, weren't terrible. Clunky looking and pretty stiff. Overall, not up to ASICS standards.
Brands I'd also recommend: Asics, Innov-8, New Balance

These are just OK. Not the support I have come to expect from Asics. I use Asics for my trail shoes, and running shoes, but so far haven't found a great cross-trainer from them. They are also ugly. From the website, they almost look like a running shoe, but in real life, not so pretty.

I needed a good cross trainer for my workouts. I just started Insanity by Beachbody and my New Balance running shoes just weren't cutting it. I got these because it said they were good for Plyo drills and it was right. These shoes rock! And Zappos is killer too! I got the shoes in record time and my feet no longer hurt after these brutal Insanity workouts! Thanks Zappos...I will definitely be back!

These shoes serve the cross trainer purpose. Essentially generic but better looking than the typical cross trainer, which is usually solid white and horrible looking. However, they squeak like mad. It's like Tangina in "Poltergeist". It's been a couple of weeks and the sound is no better. I'd steer clear unless you want to warn everyone you know that you're on your way.

I would definitely order 1/2 size down. I'm usually a 9 and the 8.5 fits with room to spare. I spent a long time researching which shoe would be best for all of my plyo-heavy workouts. This shoe is perfect. It's okay looking. It seems like most sneaker design tends toward tacky, and these are tolerable enough that I could feasibly wear them when I'm not exercising.

This is a good cross trainer. Very comfortable, great support for lateral movements, very stable. The only thing that could be improved is the tongue moves a little and sometimes need to be adjusted. Also, super cute and bright.

I bought these shoes specifically for doing the Insanity workout. Which is plyometrics and crossfit all in one. These shoes are perfect for this type of workout. They are super cute too!

I purchased these specifically for the insanity workout. They are a bit stiff at first and having pretty flat feet, I thought the arches were too high. However, after three workouts, they loosened up and now fit comfortably. These shoes are very supportive for lateral movement, jumping, etc. I am so glad to have found these! They are a great buy.

This is the fourth pair of shoes Ive tried from Zappos. Ive ordered Ryka's, other Asics and some others and couldn't find a good fit for my flat feet. I needed a good shoe for Zumba and couldn't find anything. I read a review of this shoe and the person said they hurt at first but by the third day the shoe was comfortable. I decided to give them a try. The first time I wore them they hurt my feet but I stuck it out and now I love them!

At the end of month 1 of Insanity I started getting ankle pains and went on the search for shoes that would help fix that and allow me to power through month 2. These did it! The impact support is great for all the plyo, jumping and high impact of Insanity and I would highly recommend them. Plus, they're cuter than other shoes I tried that weren't as good at absorbing the impact too!
