These were awful shoes. Slowly over time my knees began to hurt and then I realized it was the shoes. Even after I ceased wearing them, it took about two weeks for my knees to feel normal.

I have bought several pairs of asics shoes. I had always been satisfied. This pair, however, was disappointing. As other reviewers mention, the sole starting coming off with only 2 months of light use.

More gray than black, bought them for work, so far a little tight but breaking in getting better. Overall comfort is good, has really good arch support.

I busted my ankle about 2 months ago an I needed a shoe that could keep me stable throughout my workouts. This is a great shoe with great stability; everything that I needed. it's also a great cross trainer, and I use it for running and lifting.
I'd also recommend: Asics, New Balance

These shoes are awesome... Don't think just buy them... I have horrible knees. I have been (snow skiing, boarding, wake boarding, water skiing on a competition level for 20+ years) I haven't been able to actually run very much for the last 2 years. With these shoes I can jog and sprint on concrete, and my knees feel fine the next day. If you are wondering about the sole and traction it is amazing. They are super light weight and are just great trail and track shoes. Don't hesitate just buy them.
