I bought these for my husband for his half-marathon training. He is a minimalist, very no-frills type of man. He liked these shoes the first time he wore them. They are as described: a lightweight but high-mileage trainer with plenty of arch support and cushioning. He regularly runs hilly 14-milers, and these seem to provide the cushioned support on the downhills. He also wore them for his half-marathon race. They gave him no blisters and have a zero break-in period - can be worn right out of the box for a long run.

I just went out and bought my second pair of the Landreth 7's. The first ones lasted just a tad below 350 miles. My last couple of long runs (20 and 16 milers) caused my ankles and shins ache a little more than usual. I am confident that a new pair of the same great shoe will fix this. For those of you looking for a relatively lightweight, long distance shoe, look no further. Cushion and responsiveness are just right for me (not too much, but definitely not too little). I used to be forced to buy the typical 2100 series shoe in wide to accommodate my wide forefoot. The Landreth 7's in medium width are just as roomy as any other wide foot shoe I have previously purchased.

My new favorite! Great support, cushioning, and no break-in time. Also plenty wide with stretchy fabric which allows your feet to spread a bit with impact. Every pair fits the same!
