I'm so happy I purchased this year's GEL-Kayano model. I had skipped quite a few years of this model because the last one I had, 14, was very tight and not true to size. Then the last few years they made the laces too askew. This year is perfect! I bought it in the black but the other colors are nice looking as well. It fits perfect, true to size. They're light as air. The mesh is a big reason why I bought them...I love my New Balance 993's but they make my foot sweat during heavy cardio days at the gym. The Asics are just what I needed to kick start 2012. Thanks Zappos for your excellent customer service!

I have had heel pain recently due to little or no fat pad left in my heels. I ran 9½ miles in these today, right out of the box, and felt great! Excellent pronation support, excellent arch support, lighter than the last model, and worth every penny spent. I bought half a size larger than normal as this year's model seemed shorter than last year's K-17.

I have issues with my knees that stem from my ankles twisting inward. I find that the Gel Kayanos have more arch support than any other shoe I have tried. This is my 5th pair and I think these are the lightest and most comfortable yet.

These shoes are amazing! I've been a faithful ASICS fan for years, and this is the best pair yet! They are light as air, very cushioned and very supportive. Perfect for my feet! Now I dread wearing any other shoe...

Bought these shoes to begin running based on reviews from here and other sites. These shoes are very comfortable out of the box. I did go up 1/2 size from my normal and they fit perfectly. Highly recommended.

Great shoe! I have bad feet and these are the best...only thing is I don't think the insoles are that great so I put my own in. Color and design of this version of the Kayano is awesome...so glad they did something other than the white that gets so dirty!

I have been wearing my ASICS GEL Kayanoo 18 for runs for the last month. I love these shoes! In the past I have had trouble with my knees hurting after a run, but not with these shoes! I will definitely buy another pair! Thanks for all the help Zappos!

I've been running in Gel-Kayano's for the past 6 years, and the lining of my 17's started to tear so it was time for a new pair. As always, I love this sneaker. I run about 5-8 miles in them every day and they keep my feel well supported as well as my knees and hips. Extremely well cushioned and smooth. I don't think I'll ever run in anything else!

The shoe is excellent, however I have a mild hallux valgus and I am going to return them because I feel sharp friction in the plantar surface or the region below the hallux. Even though I do have a structural problem with my foot, I have not had that kind of problem before with my previous running shoes. I decided to go for these shoes as they were highly recommended. If that minor detail can be corrected or else, I could find a good insole to accommodate that region, this would be the best running shoe. Tried it a couple of times, no pain in my extensors, no pain in my knee and very comfortable, especially in my ''normal'' foot.

I just had to write about these shoes! I have problems with my feet. Losing fat pads, and I pronate. I walk to work and back everyday. I do Latin Heat exercise classes and Zumba. These shoes are amazing! The only shoes that I can wear all day, and even for exercise! The extra gel makes all the difference. I will wear nothing else!

I started wearing these Asic Gel-Kayano about 4 years ago. My favorite shoe for running or cross training. I wear an 8 and the size has always been true to fit except these Asics Gel Kayano 18 are a little tight. I had to go with an 8 1/2. I recommend go a half size bigger then what you normally wear. I love these shoes!

This is the most comfortable and best fitting Asics I've had (and I've had a variety). I am a nurse and on my feet 8-10 hours - no problems with my feet or my lower back, as in other shoes.
