This is my second pair of Kahanas. They fit perfectly. I wear a 9 in this shoe as I wear a 9 in all athletic shoes, so nothing strange with their fit. It's rugged and it helps me along the trails as I professionally dog walk. In fact, I need to order another pair before the Fall begins. I like to have a few pair so I run one into the ground!

The laces on these are flat and aren't long enough if you want to tie so that the shoe doesn't slip off. No give on the laces and my feet are cut off. I have another Kahana and love them.

I am very impressed with these shoes! I shattered my ankle two years ago and haven't had much luck with hiking until I got the GEL-Kahana 5's. I wore them for a pretty brutal 8 mile hike the first day out and they were amazing! Great support with enough cushion to be comfy. So happy I tried them! I wear a 9 and ordered a 9 and found them to be perfect.

Asics are great -- third or fourth pair -- and, may I say, Zappos never lets me down! Shoes are perfect - arrived in just over a day - what more could you ask for? Have ordered from Zappos at least 10 times - and will do so at least 10 more times!

These were affordable, and comfortable. I take an 8 1/2 wide(D) and after loosening and adjusting the laces, found these to be extremely comfortable to walk in. I can really feel my heel bouncing up when I walk, puts a little spring in my step.

These shoes are OK after they are broken in. I gave them overall 3 Stars because the break-in period was rather extensive. I just wore out a pair of Asics Gels that I loved right out of the box, and of course, they always change your favorite stuff. And these were narrower than they should be. I have wide feet, and I got this wonderful, wonderful shoe stretcher. I wet the shoes and stretched the heck out of them. Finally they are good enough (the shoe stretcher comes with a stretch assist spray, but I am pretty sure that's for leather shoes). I wear orthotics, so I don't really know if the arch is OK or not.

I wear orthotics and have to remove the liner from shoes to accommodate the orthotics; these shoes are comfy even with the liner removed. Most shoes are a little too wide in the forefoot with the liner removed, and these are just about right.

I purchased this shoe after having purchasing the same brand many times. I had toe surgery and have found the toe box of this brand does not irritate the scar tissue.

I love the arch support of these shoes, but I had to return my first pair and order a half size larger. I have two other pair of Asics shoes that are true to size, so I do not think it is my feet that have changed. Zappos customer service was great about helping with the return.

Kahana 4 is an amazing shoe. Kahana 5 is a slightly less amazing shoe. But, you will still be satisfied. It has a good cushion but less arch support than its predecessor. The seams on top of your foot can be felt, but with a little a bit of wear that goes away.

Very comfy! Tried lots of sneakers...cheap ones...expensive ones...none gave me comfort like this one has. I got plantar fasciitis and on my feet the whole day...this is the one for me.

If you have the prior incarnation of this shoe and like it, you are going to be very disappointed. This is a big deviation from the 4. We're not talking little tweaks here. That design on the sides? Yeah, it's some kind of rigid material that makes the upper of the shoe way stiffer than it's predecessor. It's also substantially smaller and has a narrower toe box. Back it goes.

I ordered a wide to accommodate Morton's neuromas though I have a regular width foot. This shoe was narrow across the ball of the foot so I am sending them back.

This shoe is in my hall of fame for all time best footbed. Very comfortable with padding in just the right places. I have a slightly narrow foot and the regular width fit me well, just a touch too wide. I don't love the look of the shoe especially due to the slight, I'd call it burnished, silver material but I would buy it again for the comfort level. I had an accident and badly injured my big toe so when I say these are comfortable I really mean it. They may be good if you have orthopedic conditions. One additional major factor in my positive review is that they are very sturdy. I generally like Asics but at times wish for more support, these are excellent from ankle to toe.
