This pair of Asics running shoes doesn't provide me with the support that I was looking for. The arch supprt collapses easily while running. These may be okay for very lightweight runners, but anyone else needs a more robust shoe.
Brands I'd also recommend: Asics are fine, just not these

I had been wearing Nike Shox prior to buying this shoe. I needed a half size larger in the Asics than what I wear in a Nike. The ankle cut-outs in this shoe are too high. I had to add an insole on top of the Asics one to lift my foot so that my ankles weren't rubbing against the cut-out. This causes the shoe to feel a little too snug now. But overall, it's still a comfortable and sturdy shoe.
Brands I'd also recommend: Nike Shox

I would not call these the worst shoes that I have ever owned, but they certainly are not good. I must say that I really liked the look of these shoes. They seem pretty comfortable. The problem is durability. While they may be okay for casual use, or someone who runs occasionally, they simply will not stand up to any real athletic use. Do not plan on using these Asics for sports. After only one week of use for flag football every day, these looked like they had been through a year of use, or as though I had put them into a garbage disposal. The material on the toe was shredding and the shoe was no longer rigid or supportive at all. I also seem to have cracked the back heel of the shoes while putting them on. Now I will keep the Asics for yard work and go back to using basketball shoes for sports and everything else. I do not think that I will be buying Asics running shoes again, unless I go to a store and find a pair that looks more durable.
