I am a 230 pound walker who uses custom orthotics, so my strike is pretty corrected but I need a very solid hit on the asphalt I walk on for 3-4 miles. This shoe surprised me with its light top structure, good heel counter firmness and very solid, symmetric strike on the ground. It has good bounce capacity and my arthritic toe joint is eased with this shoe. I'm quite pleased with the fit, being a walker with a fairly narrow size 15. These are not made for the very wide footed ones. I wear a 14 in usual shoes, but find that 15 gets the ball of my foot in the right place better than the 14s.

This is a great shoe for a moderate runner. I get plenty of miles and this shoe holds up very well. As a heavy runner too, it provides excellent support and cushioning.
Brands I'd also recommend: mizuno rider
