I love Asics. I have run in the Gel Nimbus for years. I tried these because of an article I read. Wow, what a disappointment (a painful disappointment). The plastic trussic hurts your feet so bad. I sold them on eBay after three runs. Very sad, because the shoe has cushion and is very light. I think I felt pain in all 33 joints in my feet! Going back to the Nimbus - the best shoe out there.

This shoe is great for me. The light arch support fits my foot well. It helps you learn how to run with a midfoot strike rather than heel striking. It's also lightweight and has a pretty soft/cushioned sole.
Brands I'd also recommend: Brooks

Nice shoe but I'm returning them because they slide off my heel. I have a narrow heel, but this shoe feels very wide in the heel. It won't work for me. The toe box is snug. I also just bought a pair of Asics Gel-Nimbus 14 that fit my heel just fine. I'll be sticking with those.
