For years, since I'm a woman's 14 narrow, its been very difficult to find a shoe that fits my foot. Zappo's has satisfied that task with their wonderful selection.

As with most other brands of sneakers/running shoes I needed one half size larger. I'm a 7.5 in regular shoes but an 8 in athletic shoes - the 8 in this Asics pair fit perfectly. I like how they're lower profile than a running shoe but still more substantial and work-out worthy than the retro Pumas or other very low-profile sneaks. I also like that the sole is not totally black and clunky but not blindingly white like a lot of black running shoes have. My only gripe is the collar in the back rubs a little - I'm hoping that part loosens up with more wear. Maybe that is built more stiff in a volleyball shoe which is what I think these are meant for. But it's not enough of a rub to give a blister. Other than that, great shoe.

These are special because of the exceptional cushioning the insole provides. It responds to pressure intelligently, as you shift weight around different parts of the foot it provides responsive cushioning that rebounds when weight is spread evenly through the foot. However I don't feel very nimble footed and occasionally the back ankle collar pokes into a tender spot suddenly and painfully. The white parts on the shoe look very glossy (the non-mesh parts). The shoes look pretty nice in person, not cheap or anything.

Even though these are billed as volleyball shoes, I am one of many folks I know who wear these as indoor court shoes (squash). They are non-marking, provide good support and stability and yet are reasonably light and flexible, and the gum rubber in the outer sole is terrific. These are my go to squash shoes, I bought two pair and rotate them.

I am a die-hard volleyball player, who has always been loyal to Mizuno. However, I had to switch teams and they are sponsored by Asics. It was a difficult transition (the shoes are completely different) but I am very satisfied with Asics! I would recommend them anytime! Thanks!

I was originally looking for cardio dance (ie. Zumba) shoes. I saw these, thought they looked cool, but then questioned whether using volleyball shoes would be a smart move for Zumba & kickboxing classes. Then I tried them on...holy cow, are they comfortable! Plus they are supportive enough for all my jumping, lateral movements, turns, etc. I can do it all in these! I love them & am going to buy them in more colors!

Excellent shoes. I purchased these for use in Zumba class. The lateral movements in volleyball are similar to Zumba moves. The shoes are roomy yet supportive, snug in the heel and supportive in the shank, while roomy in the toe box and well fitting in the forefoot. Clearly another of Asic's good jobs.

I needed new shoes for my aerobic walking because my Nike runners just weren't working. I ordered 5 different pairs of shoes. There were the least attractive pair but the only pair I kept. They fit well, are great for the lateral movements and are very comfy. I came back this weekend to order a spare pair and there was nothing left in my size.

Seeing the reviews that people were wearing these as a Zumba shoe I decided to try a pair myself. They are totally inflexible and do not allow you to move like you need to when you are in a Zumba class. They are however true to size and have a nice roomy toe box. They might be great as another kind of shoe meant for say volleyball?

This is my second pair of Asics Gel. I usually have to order wide widths in other brands but these fit perfectly. And they are pretty. Good support for Jazzersize and comfortable for walking.
