The belt is of good quality, particularly for the price, and goes well with jeans. It is also true to size meaning you can use the middle hole and have enough "tail" to go through the belt loop after fastening. I would buy again.

My husband really likes this belt. He can wear it with his business attire and it also looks good with jeans. Fits great, looks great, feels great.

Nice conservative western belt without a lot of flair and bling. Serves well as a dressier or western-lite belt.

Very handsome belt -- atypical of department store belts. My husband is very happy with it and size is accurate.

This is not a 40 belt the total length from Tip to Stern is only 38 3/4. Everyone knows a 40 inch belt means that the middle hole on the belt creates a 40 inch circumference. I do not blame Zappos, jest want to warn others

In 1990, Ariat International co-founders Beth Cross and Pam Parker set out to create a new company and a new way of thinking about footwear for riders. They realized that traditional English and Western riding boots were stiff, heavy and hard on the feet – not very well suited for riding. Both riders with backgrounds in the athletic shoe industry, they realized the unique needs of equestrians – both in the saddle and on the ground – and the performance-enhancing benefits that could be brought to riding boots to give these athletes an edge.

So they assembled a group of top footwear engineers and designers, and set them on the task of creating the world's most technically innovative performance riding boots. They started by re-designing the outsole, rethinking the arch support system and finally taking a hard look at the suitability of "traditional" last shape and fit. While they were building the technology platform for Ariat boots, they were also talking to hundreds of top riders who helped in the design and development of the final product.

In 1993, Ariat shipped their first pair of boots, and today Ariat is the world leader in performance equestrian footwear, offering a full range of English and Western riding boots, work boots and casual footwear – plus new lines of performance apparel and accessories to fully outfit today’s equine athletes and equestrian-inspired lifestyle enthusiasts.

Whether you are a professional equestrian athlete or a novice rider, you will find an Ariat boot with the performance technology that is perfect for you. Ariat boots cushion the foot while stabilizing the heel and arch, dramatically reducing fatigue and stress to the feet, legs and lower back. This amazing technology can also be found in a variety of casual Ariat shoes – providing you with comfortable and stylish alternative for those relaxed, easy-going days.
