I bought my first pair of Terrains about seven years ago on the recommendation of my sister. I literally wore them out, and this year I had to find new ones. Zappos got them to me in record time! I absolutely love these shoes! I garden a lot and do lots of outdoor work. The shoes were comfortable from day one. I usually wear a wide width, but the medium fits just fine. I'll never buy any other brand if I can help it. These are so comfortable to work in.

I assumed they were waterproof, but found out otherwise on a 13+ mile Alaska hike. I was disappointed with wet feet, but no blisters! I was surprised and happy. I have thin feet with high arch, so often have problems with shoe fit.

They started hurting my heels after the first mile of hiking; even wearing two pairs of socks didn't help. I wore them for one hike and I am never going to wear them again. Also, these do run big; I'm usually a 9.5/10 and I fit into an 8.5.

Fourth Pair - My daughter leads ponies at parties and is training her horse. She usually wears wide shoes but these fit great and are comfortable for many hours on her feet. This is her third pair and I bought myself a pair as well- love them! A pair will last my daughter a year and she wears them everyday at the barn.

In 1990, Ariat International co-founders Beth Cross and Pam Parker set out to create a new company and a new way of thinking about footwear for riders. They realized that traditional English and Western riding boots were stiff, heavy and hard on the feet – not very well suited for riding. Both riders with backgrounds in the athletic shoe industry, they realized the unique needs of equestrians – both in the saddle and on the ground – and the performance-enhancing benefits that could be brought to riding boots to give these athletes an edge.

Great long lasting comfortable wearing boot - I had my last pair for 8+ years before they finally gave it up. I wore them in rain, snow, mud, and everyday. I just got a new pair from Zappos and they were cheaper than what I paid locally at the saddle shop.

Nice shoe - There is a seam at the back of shoe above the heel which bothered me my first few outings but once I wore that in the shoe was great.

Ariat Rocks - If you ever were concerned about buying a pair of shoes online, just buy Ariats. I have never bought a pair that didn't fit perfectly and measure up to my expectations. They are light enough to wear all day- haven't try them in the heat or cold yet. I also love that I didn't have to break them in.

I have bought many boots on the past and I have to break each one with my poor feet, I was very impress with the comfort of this ones, as soon as I received the boots put them on and went to work for a straight 6 hours, WOW! My feet were not hurt at all. I'm an 8.5 and order 8 and they were perfect, I order another pair before they sold out, excellent boots!!

I think they were designed for horse training or something, but I use them for everyday in the desert. The tops fit close and keep out the stickers. Great support and no break-in period. Just put them on and loved them. I will buy more! They look good, too.

The sizes run quite large. My husband is having the same experience with his Ariat Terrain boots.

All-Terrain - I own 3 pair, buy them whenever I see them on sale. I keep one for barn work, the other 2 are for hiking or casual wear. If I only I could wear them with a skirt to work! Great shoe to wear all day.

Absolutely love this shoe! I have hard to fit feet and this is by far one of the best fitting and most comfortable walking/hiking boots I have tried. Fit like a glove first time on with no break in period.
