I couldn't try them on! I know I have a high arch but I could not get my foot into the opening enough to seat my heel without damaging the shoe. The shoe does have elastic to provide some freedom for getting your foot in the shoe, just not enough for my foot! I loved the two-tone variation to the style so I'm really disappointed the shoe didn't work out.

So far this shoe is a winner right out of the box. I had developed painful bunions and have tried many style of shoes including dansko. Everthing has gone back except these. I found this shoe to be true to size (I wear 7.5) light weight, stays on my foot,nicely padded foot bed, comfortable, lovely leather exterior and interior. The brown has a more casual oiled leather look-like an old bomber jacket. I just ordered a black pair to wear with dressier slacks. I work 8-10hours on a concrete sales floor and can't wait to give them the true test this week. A person with a very high instep may have trouble slipping into these. I intend to wear this shoe with jeans or tights and sweaterdress. Love this shoe!

I bought the black pair in 7.5. I am a 7. I am going to order the brown pair. These go great with casual jeans and black pants. Would recommend them can walk in them all day and they never hurt my feet. Would actually like them to have a three inch heel; maybe they will come out with that next.

I just bought the shoe Ariat Sheila in Black with the silver belt, and they are dressy very supportive. Love how they will snug my feet. They look stunning! Guys are saying how cool my shoes look with my jeans! They are keepers and I plan to buy the brown ones, too! I love how they also have a 2.5 heel without the spike heel

I just got this shoe in brown and love it. These are the shoes I have looking for, for months. They are so comfortable, right out of the box. The first time I wore them was for an entire day, and now they are my favorite shoes, and I am getting them in black.

LOVE THESE SHOES! Ariats are the MOST comfortable shoes in the entire world! I noticed one other reviewer felt they were too tight; because there is a lot of elastic around the opening of the shoe, it needs to be a little tighter because it will give a little. They are definitely tauter around the opening than other Ariat clogs, but are just as comfortable. You might not wear your thickest socks until they are "broken-in." I highly recommend them!

Love all my Ariats! Out of the box and no break in period. Had my doubts about trying a new style, but they discontinued the Santa Cruz. Well satisfied with Zappos and Ariats!

The Sheila is my first pair of Ariat and I highly recommend them. I bought them in brown and love the finnish. They are a little too casual for dress slacks but are perfect for jeans. They were very comfortable right out of the box. My feet slide forward in most shoes that have a little lift but not in these shoes! They are worth every penny!

These shoes are great, both in look and comfort. I put them on right out of the box and wore them all day. The comfort level is exceptional - no breaking in. They are bit of a struggle to get on - use a shoe horn - but once they are on, they feel great. I plan to order another style in this brand. I only buy shoes from Zappos. I rate them high in customer service and selection. I like the detail in the description of their products. I've never had to send anything back. They once went out of their way to get me a better pair of laces for boots I ordered from them.

This shoe is so pretty! I have significant foot problems (neuropathy, neuromas) and was happy to find these are comfortable anyway. The materials look great in person and the shoes seem well-made. The elastic sides make this one a little snugger than a lot of this type of shoe. Fortunately, they are comfortable even without my usual inserts. Beautiful color with jeans.

I Have never had a more comfortable shoe in my entire life! I have flat feet, bunions and Lupus. I have had all 10 toes broken and fixed with severe hammertoes and have not been able to wear anything all day without painful feet the first couple of hours. I have tried Dansko, but found them too short and wide for me. These are amazing. The style is very flattering, the heel is great for wearing long jeans which lengthens your leg with no pain from heels. I did put an insole in because they felt a little loose, but I have narrow feet, so they did fit true to size as far as length. I was worried that I had to give in to little old lady shoes for comfort, but these saved me from going frumpy. I absolutely love them! I bought the same style in black too. Thank you, Zappos!

Overall I am happy with these shoes. I think perhaps the decorative band will be mostly hidden by my pants leg, so that's a little disappointing. Also, on size, I have a bunion on my right foot and one reason I buy Dansko is that they run wide. This shoe does not run as wide as other Dansko's I have bought of the same size. So I am using my shoe stretchers to make it wider.
Brands I'd also recommend: Simple, Camper, Merrell, Soft Walk, Rocket Dog, Earth
