So they assembled a group of top footwear engineers and designers, and set them on the task of creating the world's most technically innovative performance riding boots. They started by re-designing the outsole, rethinking the arch support system and finally taking a hard look at the suitability of "traditional" last shape and fit. While they were building the technology platform for Ariat boots, they were also talking to hundreds of top riders who helped in the design and development of the final product.
In 1993, Ariat shipped their first pair of boots, and today Ariat is the world leader in performance equestrian footwear, offering a full range of English and Western riding boots, work boots and casual footwear — plus new lines of performance apparel and accessories to fully outfit today´s equine athletes and equestrian-inspired lifestyle enthusiasts.
Whether you are a professional equestrian athlete or a novice rider, you will find an Ariat boot with the performance technology that is perfect for you. Ariat boots cushion the foot while stabilizing the heel and arch, dramatically reducing fatigue and stress to the feet, legs and lower back. This amazing technology can also be found in a variety of casual Ariat shoes — providing you with comfortable and stylish alternative for those relaxed, easy-going days.

These boots are fabulous! Fit great, can walk for miles in them and they are super stylish! Perfect shaft length for little summer skirts and leggings. This is my 3rd pair of Ariat and they never disappoint me.

These boots are awesome! The shaft is a cut-out design. They run a half size bigger, I am a 9 ordered 8.5 perfect. They feel real stiff when putting them on, have funny feeling about the arch support! I can promise you that after wearing them for a few days, and scuffing up the slippery leather soles they'll loosen. Arch support will feel normal too.

These boots are really cool. I have found though that Ariat's are generally running about a half to a full size larger than marked. I tried it next to my Lucchese boots, and they seemed the same length; however, the width was much wider on the Ariats. I tried them on again with my thickest socks and they fit perfect. So, would like to size down, but try them first. I will try to find a local store and see if the size down would do better. The turquoise color is really beautiful and the studs are really cool too!

Little disappointed with this boot. I've had good luck with this brand. I own 2 pairs already. These were very narrow. Wasn't too keen on shaft of boot because of cut out design. Boot was a bit stiff but probably would loosen up with wear. I did love the studding all around the boot. I'm sending them back.

I wanted to love these boots, but the craftsmanship was horrible! I tried a total of three pair hoping that I would finally find a pair worth keeping, unfortunately that didn't happen. The first pair, the heel insole on the right boot was lifting up across half the width of the boot. The second pair, the right boot was so tight that I couldn't get my foot in. The third pair only a small part of the heel insole on the right boot was lifting up and they fit great, I thought I was going to keep them since it was just a small part of the insole lifting, but I noticed a lot of long, loose thread on the outside pull tabs on both sides of the right boot. I was just going to cut the thread when I noticed that the pull tabs were actually pulling away from the boot! I give up. These boots are so comfortable and totally adorable, but if I am going to pay this much for a pair of boots I expect quality craftsmanship. I must add though, Zappos is absolutely amazing and I will definitely buy my next pair of boots from them!
