So they assembled a group of top footwear engineers and designers, and set them on the task of creating the world's most technically innovative performance riding boots. They started by re-designing the outsole, rethinking the arch support system and finally taking a hard look at the suitability of "traditional" last shape and fit. While they were building the technology platform for Ariat boots, they were also talking to hundreds of top riders who helped in the design and development of the final product.
In 1993, Ariat shipped their first pair of boots, and today Ariat is the world leader in performance equestrian footwear, offering a full range of English and Western riding boots, work boots and casual footwear — plus new lines of performance apparel and accessories to fully outfit today´s equine athletes and equestrian-inspired lifestyle enthusiasts.
Whether you are a professional equestrian athlete or a novice rider, you will find an Ariat boot with the performance technology that is perfect for you. Ariat boots cushion the foot while stabilizing the heel and arch, dramatically reducing fatigue and stress to the feet, legs and lower back. This amazing technology can also be found in a variety of casual Ariat shoes — providing you with comfortable and stylish alternative for those relaxed, easy-going days.

I own the Ariat paddock boots for riding so I know that the technology in the soles is excellent! I wore these all day long for the first day and they were comfortable the whole time. They are a little tight across the top of the foot (above the arch) but the leather will stretch with conditioning and the leather darkens a bit to a really nice color (Lexol conditioning products work really well)! I am typically a 7.5 or 8 in shoes and I ordered the 7.5 and they fit perfect with or without socks. I have a large 16.5 inch calf and these boot were not an issue to put on so for the large calved women, this will fit! Great boot!

I have had these boots for nearly a year now. I have severe foot problems, and can't wear "heels" of any sort, yet I wear these nearly daily. I have worn them to England to tromp around all day as a tourist (the British loved them). I have worn them all day on my feet as a teacher. I have worn them with jeans, nice pants, a skirt and tights, a skirt and knee socks... in short, with everything. Everyone loves them, especially me! Next year I want a black pair. I also own Ariat clogs, and they are great, too. I've had them for two years, and next fall they'll be ready to go again. Great products!

I love these boots. I go between a 9 and 9½ and based on reviews I got the 9. I have to wear thicker socks as I have a narrow heel but they were comfortable from the start. Except one rubbing on my inner ankle but that stopped after a few wears. I love the blue stitching and the lightweight feel of these boots. This is my second pair of Ariats but will not be my last. I have some beautiful brown Frye boots but they are so heavy and I feel so loud and clunky in them. This Ariat looks good and is so light!

These boots are absolutely amazing. I put them on as soon as I got them. And of course, I scuffed them the next day. However, the part where your foot bends, by your toes and discolors as it creases. That is the only thing about these boots I dislike. Other than that, they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn! :)

I've had worn these boots almost every day for the past year and a half. I used to go through a pair of boots about every 6 months. These have held up so well, especially considering all I've put them through! I won't buy a different pair of boots!
