Thanks! We'll notify you as soon as we add new styles for Ariat.
In 1990, Ariat International co-founders Beth Cross and Pam Parker set out to create a new company and a new way of thinking about footwear for riders. They realized that traditional English and Western riding boots were stiff, heavy and hard on the feet — not very well suited for riding. Both riders with backgrounds in the athletic shoe industry, they realized the unique needs of equestrians — both in the saddle and on the ground — and the performance-enhancing benefits that could be brought to riding boots to give these athletes an edge.

So they assembled a group of top footwear engineers and designers, and set them on the task of creating the world's most technically innovative performance riding boots. They started by re-designing the outsole, rethinking the arch support system and finally taking a hard look at the suitability of "traditional" last shape and fit. While they were building the technology platform for Ariat boots, they were also talking to hundreds of top riders who helped in the design and development of the final product.

In 1993, Ariat shipped their first pair of boots, and today Ariat is the world leader in performance equestrian footwear, offering a full range of English and Western riding boots, work boots and casual footwear — plus new lines of performance apparel and accessories to fully outfit today´s equine athletes and equestrian-inspired lifestyle enthusiasts.

Whether you are a professional equestrian athlete or a novice rider, you will find an Ariat boot with the performance technology that is perfect for you. Ariat boots cushion the foot while stabilizing the heel and arch, dramatically reducing fatigue and stress to the feet, legs and lower back. This amazing technology can also be found in a variety of casual Ariat shoes — providing you with comfortable and stylish alternative for those relaxed, easy-going days.

These are real boots, not fashion boots, but they have the neatest features of any real boot that I own - and I own plenty of both kinds. They could almost make it as fashion boots. (For those of you thinking about getting them for that reason, they will look very bulky with your skinny jeans.) They have a lavender lining and great detailing on all the metal parts, so they don't look like your husband's boots. I have owned Ariat boots for many years, and these lacers are exactly what I would have expected. The sole is composite but smooth, so they don't pick up that much in the barn even though you won't easily slip in them. They easily run a half size big - maybe a full size. These are boots to plan on wearing for a decade.

Years ago, maybe 20 years ago Ariat produced an all leather upper, leather lined paddock boot that became a part of your foot it was so fabulous. About 10 years ago quality nose dived, still I myself am wearing 2 pairs of Ariat paddocks size 11 made of genuine leather dandruff lined in fabric that wicks. I decided to take the plunge and order this boot. The kiltie is not the same leather as the rest of the upper. The tongue of the boot is fabric. Only the collar of the lining is leather and it too is such thin junk we can call it genuine leather dandruff. The uppers are quite nice but and they are attached to the wicky fabric. I really hoped for something almost as nice as my original pair purchased at Nordstrom who no longer carries Ariat. That original pair were a half size too small and yet I wore them for 10 years. I wore them enough to wear the heel half off. And then with all that wear on them they were still so good I sold them at online auction with 20 bids for only 15 dollars less that what I had paid for them at Nordstrom. So sad a downfall for Ariat formally such great boot makers.

I have long narrow feet. This style makes my foot look so much shorter. The leather on top is much thinner than my other Ariat boots. Will wear them for fun times. I usually order 1/2 size smaller but these could of been 1 whole size smaller. I also need thick socks. They do look fantastic.

These boots are very comfortable and are true to size. I have a hard time finding footwear that doesn't contribute to my back pain but these don't make me hurt.

I really liked these shoes when I saw them on the internet. After reading reviews I took people's advice and got a half size smaller than my normal size. I am a 7.5. But it took a couple more returns and exchanges to get the right fit. However, I liked them so much that I did not mind doing this. I finally settled on a 6! A size and a half smaller than my normal shoe size. They fit just right and I know they will stretch out more as I wear them. If I wear a wool sock they will definitely be tight, but again, I'm not too worried as I think when they stretch it will make room for that. The leather is really soft and they seem to be super comfortable. They can be worn with skinny jeans even though they are more heavy duty than some other ankle boots you may find. I feel optimistic about these boots because they seem to have the ruggedness that I need, but also a fancy style that can be paired with a casual look or something a bit more dressed up. The lavender lining is a nice touch and I do appreciate that I can take off the fringe if I want a simpler look.

Ugly cheap looking heel. Great style and fit. Yes, I agree, you will go down half a size. I always wear 8 or even 8.5 in shoes, but in Ariat, I am a 7.5. I have hard to fit wide feet, and would have no break in period in these boots. The leather upper is good enough quality; both chocolate and black look rich enough for boots at this price. But I cannot accept the poor cheap rubbery heel material. They even did horizontal stripes on the heel to make it look like a stacked leather heel. But it just looks crappy. If they put in a better looking heel, I definitely would have kept them. They are made in China - the heel is definitely a cut corner measure. Maybe I should look for a vintage version on Ebay. I tried on Ariat $200 and over boots: there, they use much nicer leather, and great heel material, made in Mexico which has a rich Western leather shoe tradition. Maybe this price only buys this level quality. As for heel support, it's moderate, and not anywhere near hiking boots-level. Leather is not stiff enough around the ankles if that's what you're looking for.

I tried these boots in the size I normally wear as well as a size down and neither was comfortable. They are very cute and I wish they would have worked out, but I couldn't imagine a long day at the stables in them. I ended up returning both and buying a pair of Justin boots instead.
