Adorable warm boot - I have tried dozens of winter boots, and this one is both attractive AND warm. I haven't tried it in water yet, so I can't attest to the waterproof claim, but it is GORE-TEX, so that's a good thing. This one looks good with both skirts and pants. Very cute boot. I would say true to size. Plus, Zappos is the BEST!

Comfortable, Practical - I am a big fan of ARA boots, mostly because they are treated with Gore-Tex, always look fashionable and are hard "to kill". I agonized over getting these as they are "practical", something that my closet often lacks. I liked them because they are not as clunky as my LL Bean hiking boots or as fragile as my Uggs yet they are very light weight and will work with pants or even skirts on a snowy day. While I could have sized down I decided to stay with my normal size in ARA to be able to fit a wool sock in them (another practical thing I don't often do). They were a good choice. By the way, they say wide width. They are not. They are normal width.
Brands I'd also recommend: Any Ara boots, Ugg, Luchesse, Donald J. Pliner, Cole Haan

Comfortable boots finally - I had bunion surgery 1-1/2 years ago and have been unable to find a comfortable and warm boot as well as fashionable. Well, the hunt stops here. These are very bunion friendly. I have high arches, they don't have much for arch support, but are tolerable.

I am disappointed with this boot. I thought these would be my "go to" boot for fall/winter. The other reviewers all seemed to say comfortable/warm. I am always cold, so I need warm, even in the fall. They are warm enough for fall if I wear a thick enough sock or put in an Ugg footbed...haven't tried them in winter yet, but I doubt I'll wear them much. As far as comfort, they are horrible. I have bunions and they do not bother them...that's wear the comfort stops. There is no padding at all in the footbed and no arch support at all. The ball of my foot and my heel touch the footbed and all the rest of my foot does not. I've never had this problem with shoes (and I have many!). I spend a lot a time trying to figure out what sock/cushion/arch support combination to wear (depending on the whether and how long I'll be on my feet)...way too much thought has to go into making them comfortable each time I wear them. They are cute and stylish and that's the only reason I kept them, but I do regret this purchase.
