This is my favorite pair of boots ever. I had never heard of the brand and then picked some barely used ones up at a consignment shop. I wore them to death - all over Italy, NY, in the snow/rain etc. I just bought another pair and got back from Ireland and they were as amazing as before. Highly recommend! I bought my true size - they do stretch a bit as you wear them.

Love these boots! Extremely comfortable. A little stiff when you first put them on but they soften up quite quickly. I usually wear an 8.5 but I am keeping the size 9. The first time I wore them I walked a couple of miles throughout the city and they felt awesome. I don't know yet if they're water proof, as I haven't tested them in the rain.

I had been searching since last winter for bright red waterproof boots. I had very clear requirements and none that I saw online or in stores fit what I wanted. I purchased these boots reluctantly. They were more expensive than I wanted to pay; they claim to be weatherproof, not waterproof. They have turned out to be worth every dollar! They are so comfortable. In NYC, where walking is the form of transportation, I've trudged through this winter's snows, ice, and slush, and puddles with my feet warm and dry. And, most important, on dreary NYC winter days, they look bright and cheery.

These are the boots you've been looking for. Let me tell you. I have ordered and returned enough boots to put Zappos out of business. This pair has stopped the madness. I wanted a boot that was flat, but that didn't slump at the ankles or make my ankles look like cankles. You would think this would not be such a big rare request. At first, I was not sure about the attention these would get - I mean - they remind me of some early Britney Spears and Faith Hill rubber outfits... and wonder woman as someone else pointed out, but these look so good. Yesterday was the first opportunity to break them out and the compliments poured in. My feet didn't hurt, they didn't sweat from nasty lack of ventilation (that happens with some boots), they were fine in the rain (mind you - I didn't jump in puddles), and with a pair of black tights and a skirt or dress, these can't go wrong! Less expensive than most of the boots I tried! Still somewhat of a splurge - but these are keepers - a classic that is not going to go out of style. Wonder woman is always cool! Buy them!

Love these boots - These are the most fashionable and comfortable rainboots! I have the Marc by Marc Jacobs rainboots in black too and although I like the look, the MJ boots are heavy and clunky. The Aquatalia boots are very light and have padded insoles. The only minor issue is that the back of the right ankle falls down a little bit and digs into the back of that ankle--this requires me to straighten out the boot as I am walking down the street. Still, love these boots!

Superhero Boots! Just got these today, and am now praying for rain. I love red shoes, so these are right up my alley, but the combination of bright red and patent may be too much for some. The rubber sole has a little metallic detail along the side which I hadn't noticed in the photos. I normally wear a 9.5, got these in a 10 and they fit perfectly. The low profile toe box might feel tight if you have "thick" toes. There is an elastic V notch at the top for those with thicker calves. These boots are not cheap, so I hope to get several years of wear out of them. Based on first impression, they are very well made and comfortable enough for walking a good distance.

Warning! Not waterproof! I have worn these out twice in the rain now, and both times ended up with wet feet. The water comes in through the heel and top seam. How disappointing.

So cute but the sizing is way off. Runs small, narrow and has a very low toebox - my toes were squeezed from the top! The calf is very large even with jeans tucked in. Too bad, I wanted to love these boots!
Brands I'd also recommend: Ferragamo
