Aquatalia by Marvin K. Reviews
These are a very sharp looking boot in person. At first I wasn't sure about the fur on top, but I think it makes the boot. This is a matter of personal style. These are pull on and a little difficult to get on at first; however, once your foot is in, they are true to size and comfortable right from the start. These are lined in faux fur rather than the traditional plaid. I have worn 7.5 in the past (I am a size 7 shoe) in Aquatalia. I felt the 7.5 was too loose in the foot. These have nice height with the wedge. They are higher in the shaft than the Kiss and the Kenzie, but below the knee. I have a medium size calf. I don't think these would work for someone with a larger calf.
Love these boots. I have skinny calves, and these weren't too wide. I'm 5'4" or so, and 113#s, and these came about an inch or two below my knees. Looked great with velvet black party dress for holiday party, but would also look good with more casual skirts, and would also fit under pants. Comfortable and not too high a heel for my old feet. Only drawback is price. I'm often a size 8/8.5 and these fit in the 8, so I would say they run true to size for me.
I have these in black and I did get mine on sale. So the cost was comparable to La Canadienne. They are made from a nice suede. The quality overall does not really warrant the high cost. They have a 2 1/2 heel. They are average in comfort.
These clogs are very narrow. The sole is not padded. They are a tad heavy. The only good thing i can say about these is that the quality of the suede is good. They were not comfortable at all and went back.
Great shoes - stylish enough to wear with slacks at work, durable and sturdy enough to keep your toes warm and dry in NE snow and ice. One thing: they run a bit narrow, so I ordered 1/2 size up.
This beautiful, warm, waterproof boot has a very rough top, which will run stockings and scratch your legs. I am returning it because I can't think of a way to remedy this.
I loved these boots but they didn't love me! I tried a few times around the house but the right boot caused a lot of pain in my ankle. Not sure if it was the height of the heel or what it was. They are gorgeous and well made and I'm very disappointed! I wear a 5 1/2 and order these in the 5 1/2 and they were a perfect fit!
Although pricey, I have really enjoyed these boots. They are low-profile yet stylish. The suede is nice and they seem to be well made. The only complaint I have is the goring does not actually allow for much stretch, so these barely zip up all the way and I would say I have average calves. If you have large calves I would say that these boots are not going to fit. If you have skinny calves, you should be OK. I have only worn these with knee high socks and leggings, so I do not know if they will fit me with jeans. Definitely keeping them though.
Ordered these in both colors as soon as I saw them. I love Aquatalia shoes for their looks and comfort, and own several pairs. They are beautifully made and the incredibly soft shearling lining runs thoughout the inside including footpad. However I found the heel too high for all the walking I do, so I sadly had to return both.
I have average size calves and these were so tight that I was worried that I would not get the zipper back down. I had them over skinny jeans. I also did not need the heel and they are a little too dressy for what I intended them for. I love waterproof boots and this is a great brand but they are pricey.
I bought my first pair of Marvin K. in 2009. I love this brand because of the comfort, style and water resistance. I realize they are expensive, however, I have always looked at it "you get what you pay for!" I have 4 pair of this brand, and try to snatch them up when they are on sale. This pair of shoes are adorable, and I always get compliments on them. I have a high instep, but the more you wear this shoe, it loosens a bit. The zipper and elastic on the other side make this shoe very comfortable to wear all day long. Zappos is the best online store. The customer service is awesome, and the shipping is the best - Overnight, and Free Shipping and Return. I highly recommend this shoe/brand, and also this store, Zappos! I usually wear a size 7.5 M; however, this brand I go up to a size 8 M.
Aquatalia is my favorite boot brand, and this may be my favorite Aquatalia boot ever. It is narrow enough to support my narrow feet, long enough not to crunch my toes, and comfortable to walk in. Plus, it gives me added height and has real style. I love to wear it! A winner!
These are so cute, but the inside is very smooth and slick, so my foot slides into the toe box and feels very squeezed. It is a little strange because the heel is not high. I have wide toes, but a medium width is usually fine. Oh well, back they go.
This is a very chic boot but probably only good for someone with very slim legs. I am 5'4", a size 4, and 125 pounds (small by most standards), and could barely zip it up. Plus, it runs VERY small. I usually wear a 6, but the 6.5 was just long enough. Must return, but the style is lovely.
Beautiful, unique bluish/black patent boot. It is the first time I've bought this brand and I really like it. Only negative is that it appears to run a half size small so I'm doing an exchange in size.
I love these boots! They are so comfy and cute! The inside faux fur lining is all throughout the boot down to the toes! The leather is nice and smooth. They are comfortable and stylish. Wear them up or down, they look cute with everything. They run small for me (probably because of the fur lining) so I went half size up. I'm normally an 8 but got an 8.5 and they are perfect. I wear mine with socks but you don't even have to. I wish they had my size in black, I would get them in a heartbeat! These boots are just perfect!
If you're between sizes, size up. These are nice shoes, but I don't know if they are better than my La Canadienne's which are significantly less. I'm not sure I'm going to keep them because of the cost. They seem to be good quality. I do like more of a platform. They do make your foot slide forward a bit. They are very attractive. They look good with everything. So it's a hard decision.
