I've have two microfiber versions of this bag, one small and one medium. Waited all summer for the medium to become available in microfiber (black). To my dismay, the redux version is not so good. Biggest problem is the shoulder strap, which was well designed on the older versions. Now it's too narrow (where it should be widest) and too long and hard to adjust. After wresting with the strap to shorten it, the buckle now hits my shoulder. Though a medium, this is a big bag with a long distance between top and bottom: strap needs to be proportionately shorter (not longer). Also a minor manufacturing flaw: one of the inside pockets wasn't completely stitched. Small wonder my cellphone kept disappearing from the pocket into the far recesses of the bottom of the bag. I'm returning the bag.

This is my 2nd Bag, and my other one is still in decent shape & usable for "roughing" it. I love the fact, it is easy on my repaired back. Very organized, I highly recommend it!

I bought one of these bags about 6 or 7 years ago and carried it daily until it simply wore out about a month ago (main zipper broke and fabric got very thin). When my new one arrived, I was delighted: same well-organized pockets inside and out, substantial and adjustable strap (I usually wear it over one shoulder, but sometimes adjust strap so I can carry the bag across my chest), and good sturdy fabric that can be wiped clean. Its design really does spread the weight well. Only difference from my old one that I've noticed is that the zipper tabs are larger and shaped more comfortably. I've been using it daily for about two weeks, and I'm very happy. Does it make a fashion statement? Probably not, or at best a very conservative one. Does it carry a variety of things efficiently and comfortably? Absolutely, and that's why I like it. I've been able to stuff in a small thermos, a paperback book or a Sheep & Wool catalog, extra glasses, a rain poncho. Pretty amazing. Furthermore, as I've come to expect and appreciate, Zappos' price was reasonable, and its service prompt. Bag arrived in perfect shape.

Love AmeriBags, this is my 6th one, love all the pockets, for someone with OCD the organization is the best! Just ordered 2 more today in difference sizes and colors.

This was my second Ameribag and I still love all the features, but the microfiber really shows wear quickly, even though I got it in black. I use it for travel as well as everyday and it also seems like a magnet for dirt. The Ameribag in general is a five star product, but I recommend getting it in distressed nylon instead of microfiber. Distressed nylon isn't as waterproof, but it looks a lot better after six years of use than the microfiber looks after six months.
