I was very disappointed with this boot. I bought them to replace my worn out North Face Nuptse tall boot from last year which was no longer avail. To me, this boot could be dangerous if you are buying it for any kind of wet/icy conditions. I almost slipped on the wet train platform I was walking on the first and only time I wore them. The traction is just not there. Also, the top of the suede heel cup dug into my ankle after awhile. Thankfully Zappos let me return these boots and I ordered a North Face bootie with ice pick technology that is way more comfortable/safe/light and warm at half the price.
Brands I'd also recommend: North Face, FitFlop
