Love the shoe, but beware! I love these shoes - the fit and the way they look. But one year into them, the sole is splitting in the front. I have many shoes I rotate through, and these are treated well (stored in a closet, cleaned, etc.). There's no excuse for spending this much money and getting such questionable quality.

I love my Allen-Edmonds. These shoes have proved to be durable while beinging completely comfortable. I would say that I would buy them again but I know that they\'ll last too long to have to buy them again! I highly recommend these shoes and I ighly recommend buying them from Zappos.com.
I'd also recommend: Cole Haan

Good Shoes Don't Need Break-In - I have heard it said and firmly believe that you should never get shoes that need break-in. If a shoe needs to be broken in to fit and feel comfortable, then don't get it. These shoes are expensive, very good looking, and outstanding quality. Out of the box, they fit perfectly and are very comfortable. They are fully leather lined and you can wear them with slacks, jeans, maybe even a light tan suit. I flinched at the price... but I expect these shoes will last a long time. I fully expect that if the need were to arise, the sole can be easily renewed.

1st Timer - Shoes were a perfect fit, extremely comfortable. Classy enough to wear to court - or with khakis. Wish they made some in black.
