Excellent dress shoe. Top quality, comfortable. Goes with a wider variety of business attire without the wingtip detailing. My favorite all around dress shoe for business an interviews. Minimal arch support compared to some competing brands but very comfortable nonetheless

Excellent shoes, very comfortable, high quality. They do scuff easily, though. I'm planning on buying a second pair to keep in rotation soon.

I purchased a pair of Allen-Edmonds Park Avenue dress shoes from Zappos. In the past, I've bought these from the local Nordstroms store. But Zappos' price was cheaper, their delivery was free, and they even tossed in next-day delivery at no extra charge. The shoes, of course, were new and exactly what I ordered. So kudos to Zappos. The shoes, themselves, are classic - one of Allen-Edmonds best sellers over the years. A simple cap toe with clean lines. And available in a long, narrow size which I wear and which is typically difficult to find. I've owned Park Avenue shoes for the past 10 years. They hold up well to normal business wear. They resole or half-sole nicely. And they are comfortable for even those days when I'm on my feet, walking or standing, for most of the day.

I love this style and all of the Allen-Edmonds shoes I bought for professional wear. They are as comfortable as running shoes--minus the inappropriateness for many situations. I learned valuable lessons from Allen-Edmonds shoes, the first I bought (on sale) when getting my graduate degree. So I'll pass them on, because when they don't fit right, it might be your fault!!! The last--some shoes are on straight last, some on curved--just look at your footprint in some sand and compare to others. Lots of variation, yes? Not only that, but you may measure "normal" from heel to ball of your foot, and short thereafter, as was my case. So, I thought I wore a 9, when I really wore a 10.5. When I got my first pair of 10.5s, problem solved!!!! Some extra room in the front, but they fit where it COUNTS--heel to metatarsals, and higher arch (you Keds wearers now know why other kids work "tie shoes." Those lessons--different lasts plus size modificaton because of my short toes...plus number three, a quality LEATHER insole (typical for AE) and you have wear-em-all-day business/professional shoes. And no-one makes them better the Allen Edmonds. It is like buying American--you shouldn't be buying Asian cars, or Asian shoes, at least not right now. The shout "American" like pair of American made Justins or Lucchese boots. Go get 'em!

Park Avenue Performance from Zappos! Zappos price was only $3 more than the lowest price I found elsewhere, but included free overnight shipping. And my size is very rare -- 13AAA. Very comfortable, stylish, classy, and the service could not have been better. My experience did not include immediate comfort out of the box as described by others, but after 2 wearings, the shoes "broke in" to a nice comfort level. Zappos will now be my first stop for shoes, instead of my last stop in desperation, as it was this time. I could not be happier. Thanks!!!

The Cadillac Of Dress Shoes - These shoes can be a bit pricey, but they fit perfect out of the box. There is no "break in" period and they look sharp.

Outstanding - Probably the best shoe I'll ever own. The leather quality is excellent. The shoes feel comfortable almost immediately. They aren't running shoes, but they're not going to give you blisters either. The styling is classic and will always be great for formal wear. The shoe is built on a narrow last, so their normal-width fits a bit tight on normal feet. Unless you have skinny feet, you might want to go with the wide size.

Did not settle - Usually I have to settle for D width shoes and figure out how to make them work. The Park Avenues in C width were perfect. The only reason for 4 stars for comfort is because they are dress shoes with hard soles. These shoes are expensive, but they are also well built and beautiful.

I hate to say anything negative about the shoe after all of the rave reviews that I've read here, but I've accumulated a few nasty scratches on the toes of these shoes in only a few weeks of wearing them as the leather seems perhaps too soft. In saying that, I love Allen Edmonds and my other pair, Brentwood, has held up great for five years of fairly regular wear. As for the Park Avenue, they fit perfectly, look great and I'm sure they'll last a long time, but I guess I'm just a little irritated about the scratches.

Best Dress Shoe in the Market - If you are hesitating between the Park Avenue and another pair of shoes, please do not hesitate! Price, quality, reliability, comfort... there is nothing like it. I have been a loyal Allen Edmonds customer ever since I bought a pair two years ago; these are my third pair. Again, nothing like it. The best dress shoe in the market.

My first impression was that these shoes are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn. The shoes have a traditional cap toe style, but I would have preferred a less pointed toe such as with the AE Byron.

Speechless - I have been eyeing this pair for a good 5 years, and finally bought it. I must say I wish I bought them a long time ago. These shoes are very classic looking...I mean 5 yrs later and I still couldn't find a better looking shoe. Having owned a pair of AE before, I knew my size and they fit like a glove right out of the box.

Classy - A classy shoe in all regards. Well made top to bottom. The leather upper was a bit stiff at first but broke in nicely after two days walking about.

Just bought my 2nd pair!!! These are, by far, the best dress shoes I have ever owned. They took a couple of wears to break-in, but, after that they have became the most comfortable dress shoe I have ever worn. They are incredibly well-made and look very sharp. My first pair were black and I just ordered a brown pair. I wish I would have spent the extra money years ago.

Highly recommended - Extremely comfortable from minute one day one. With these, I never worry about comfort even when I'm on my feet all day or during those long days traveling through airports. Pricey? Yep. Worth it? I spent $500 for tires for my car recently and to be brutally honest, my feet are priceless. So, while these shoes are pricey (by my standards at least), this will be my second pair (the first pair are over 2 years old and are in fine shape other than needing new soles which is pretty good given that I have worn them 5 days a week during this period) as I can't find anything near the comfort and overall value. Highly recommended.

You get what you pay for! I read a lot of reviews about this brand of shoe. Comments like "comfortable right out of the box," yada yada, and I was skeptical you know. But I'm happy to report that being a skeptic isn't always what its cracked up to be, at least in regards to these shoes. Bottom line: Buy this brand of shoes, it’s worth every penny, and the people who proffered that the shoes are "comfortable right out of the box" were right. Glad I shelled out the dough.

This is the most comfortable captoe that I have ever owned. I also have a pair of J&M Melton’s, but those will be my backups for these shoes for those times when the Park Avenues are off being re-crafted.
