The shoe is fine quality as expected from Allen-Edmonds. Felt a little more snug than other styles of the same brand - but I wore it a full day on day 1 with no problems. Zappos service was great! Got these in less then 24 hours - wow!

Brands I'd also recommend: Ecco and New Balance are also good for extra wide feet

As usual with this brand, the craftsmanship is wonderful. Right out of the box, they fit kind of tight but not painful. This is what I expect with loafers that usually stretch a bit to fit. But after a month's wear, the shoes still feel tight and can't be worn for more than a few hours. The D width feels more like a C. My foot feels slightly smashed in the toe box, and the heel grabs and rubs my foot. The length is true to size, giving me about a half a thumb in the toe, and this usually works for me. Really strange and unfortunate. Beautiful shoes but I dread wearing them and regret buying them.

Good traditional shoe. Well made to American specs. No cheesy synthetic garbage. And You don't look like you just came from the 'mall'! True to size although the Edmonds higher end shoes run a 1/2 size smaller, these are true. Cost is fair. To be honest this is what well made, No BS, made in USA shoes cost. In the long run they will outlast the cheaper ones by years!

Fit terribly. Look great. Unusually narrow. I should have listened to the other reviews. I thought they'd break-in, but the only thing breaking is the skin of my blisters. Stay away!

Horrible. Too narrow. I thought they'd break in, so I can't return them after wearing them for two days, but the fit is awful and far too narrow. These are factory defects that Zappos got a hold of. They're very pretty, though.

After hearing about these shoes for years, I finally decided to make the move. The shoes are very well made, but I've had serious buyers remorse. I used AE's sizing guide very carefully. Was also encouraged to allow the shoes a break in period. Bottom line, the shoes are too small and uncomfortable to wear. I've worn them enough to break them in, but worn them too much to return them (in my own conscientious understanding of the Zappos community). Alas, not worth the money for me.

Very disappointing, I need a shoe slightly wider than regular (d) but the wider sizes are not wide enough across the toe area and are too loose at the heel.
