I love these boots: very classy looking. BUT the shaft of 17.5" was just too tall for me. I am 5'4" with average length legs, but they came right up to my knee, and when I sat down I could feel them right cutting behind my knee. Also, I wanted them for dresses so that length cuts off my legs too much, so it wasn't flattering to have them that high on my leg. If I were just going to wear them with jeans, I think they would have been okay. But I already have boots for jeans, so these had to go back. I tried both a 7.5, and an 8 and they both fit pretty true to size. It is a little pointed, but not overly so, but I always prefer a half-size bigger in a pointy shoe. The circumference of 15" was maybe a little big on my 14" calf, but it would be perfect for wearing with jeans. And yes, like the other reviewer it might have been a little bigger than 15", maybe 15.5" at the most though. The heel height is perfect for comfort though, and the wedge certainly gives you more stability and less strain on your ankles. Really bummed these didn't work for me.

I thought these were very nice looking boots, but they were wide in the ankle and calf on me. I usually don't have trouble with boots so I think they just run a little wide. The fit in the foot is not wide, though, so I found it to be an odd combo. Otherwise, they seemed like they would be of average comfort and they were very nice looking.

I'm 5'3" and always a skeptic when purchasing tall boots. But these fit perfect on me: hits right below the knee, fits my calves (amazing, because I do have big calves) and the heel height is comfortable to wear all day long.
