Aigle revolutionized the world of footwear by using rubber as its core material for boot manufacture. Boots continue to be made by hand at Ingrandes, France near Chatellerault. From preparation through to finishing, each stage takes place under the watchful eye of specialists. Firstly, the natural rubber mix endows the boots with all of their characteristics (suppleness, waterproofness, sturdiness, comfort, etc.) Then the parts are assembled by hand on an aluminum last. The 3rd stage in the process involves vulcanization of the boots in an autoclave at 140° to give them their definitive shape. Finally, each boot is carefully inspected to ensure that a high-performance, high-quality product is obtained.
Aigle applies its extensive know-how and 150+ years of experience to ensure your needs are met in every respect.

These boots are absolutely beautiful. They are stylish and attractive, the overall look is balanced from the molded navy rubber grip sole to the smooth rubber of the boot that reaches above the ankle to the nylon quilting. Extra white rubber seal at the foot ensures little likelihood of seams coming undone while ensuring no moisture or elements will penetrate to the foot. The pretty quilted nylon stitching is done well and won't fray or unstitch. There's a hint of soft wool lining that peeks at the top and completed with a sturdy, high quality nylon/cotton drawstring. The boots are lined with a soft, padded wool that seems warm yet not bulky. I was sold when I saw the footbed can be removed for cleaning/drying/replacement whatever. The sole is flexible enough to be able to walk and run and play. Everything about this boot looks and feels well made of high quality materials. If you want to be out in the rain or mud, these will keep your child warm and dry and looking great with less bulk giving more opportunity to play. Looks easy to clean too. For me, this is everything I wanted in a boot for my child. I would love to have a pair just like this for myself. Here's the trouble. There is not enough space or stretch in the ankle area for a child to put these on their feet. In order to put these on, your child will have to point their toe and lengthen the calf and foot in a straight line and pull the heel of the foot into position past the heel of the boot. My 13 month old does not understand the request to point toe and we were not able to get the boot on or find a way to get her to help as it was past her comprehension. Even while wearing nylon tights to help the foot glide, the mission was impossible. If your child cannot understand the instruction to point their toe, the boot will not go on. Try that request of them before you buy. I will buy these again at the earliest opportunity, when my child is old enough to understand and able to help pull them to the feet.

These shoes are so baby friendly; easy to slip on and off; and my baby never has to wear thick socks because these shoes keep her feet nice and toastie.
