Fit is a bit different than other hiking boots. A bit narrow than what I am used to (Merrell, Asolo). I like wearing lighter socks in all conditions any way.

This is an excellent shoe. It beats all the competition. There's no break-in period. The event waterproof liner is much more comfortable than Gore Tex. They're silky smooth- great for weekend hiking.

I have the brown and not the gunmetal ones. Currently I am in Afghanistan and I think these shoes saved my feet. I had a shoe from a different company and my feet constantly ached. Ever since getting these I can walk around pretty much all day without pain.
Brands I'd also recommend: Clark's, Ecco.
