Aetrex

Awesome shoe. I am in my early 30s and recently started to have fussy feet, and I was looking for a sandal alternative to all my cheap flat sandals I've always worn. Aetrex hit it out of the park here with a sandal that has a ridiculously comfortable sole with great arch support, all while keeping the shoe way out of "old lady orthopedic" territory. The ankle strap isn't giving a ton of support to the sandal, but soft and v comfortable. Perfect for shorts/skirts/dresses in the warmer weather. Very happy!

I adore these sandals, but my second toes rub on the leather top. Maybe they'd stretch with wear, but at this price I'm not going to take the risk. It's just that uncomfortable. The footbed on these is amazing though, so I may exchange them for a different style.

I am a supinator and have only recently found out I should avoid shoes with arch support. Who knew? Anyway, if you aren't a supinator this show would seems like it would be the most comfortable thing for your feet!

I love these sandals. They are very comfortable. My only complaint is that the Velcro piece on the back strap is too short, so when I tighten it, there is part of the strap that flaps loose. This will likely get worse with time as the shoes stretch a bit. So I am going to have to attach some Velcro to make the strap lay flat. That is irritating!

So comfortable. I actually forgot to take these off when I got into the house. I noticed them when I bent to pic up something. None of my many foot issues bothers me with these shoes (pronating arches, two previously broken sesamoids never quite heeled) plantar fasciitis. What a joy.

These might actually be the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. These came today and the footbed has something similar to a memory cushion. They are so comfortable. I got the Taupe color, great neutral shoe. I have them on with dark denim capris and they are so cute. I'm guessing they will go well with all colors. The only concern that I have is the suede is so soft, I'm afraid the forefoot strap my overstretch. right now its perfect. They don't need to be broken in, comfort from the second they go on. I may just order another color.

I've been having horrible plantar foot pain for months. I put these on for one solid day & have no foot pain! Amazing arch support and perfect for the summer months. So happy!

I get so many compliments on these shoes. Because they blend in with whatever you happen to be wearing and you can get away with wearing comfortable walking shoes even at more dressy events (with pants, of course). They are so lightweight and comfortable and still supportive. I plan to buy another pair. And to look for other similar shoes. They are also great for travel. You only need one pair of shoes on most trips.

Purchased these sandals after seeing the product at my podiatrists office. The office did not have this particular style, but I was impressed with the arch support in this brand sandal. Once I received this model sandal very happy with the comfort and style. Well worth the cost.

Should have listened to the other reviews...the strap is entirely too short to go around my ankle!

I was at my wit's end trying to find a comfortable sandal that wasn't clunky and without any style. After 5 attempts to find the right sandal I found this one. It is comfortable and stylish plus the padded heel straps feel great on my boney heels. The pewter color is actually darker than in the online picture and that is ok with me. Just wish there were other Aetrex sandals with similar styling. Thank you, Zappos!

Most comfortable insole I every tried. However, the strap across the top was too high and rubbed the top of my foot. This could not be corrected by adjusting the velcro strap.

This shoe is so comfortable. The leather is very soft compared to other sandals. The is also good arch support. It adjusts nicely to my very narrow foot.

Cute,lightweight, supportive and comfortable sandal! Ready to wear right out of the box. The shoe runs a bit narrow and is a perfect fit for someone who has a narrower medium width foot. The Velcro straps are easy to adjust to get that perfect fit or to give you a bit more room at the end of the day if needed. Make sure to order up a half size to get a good fit! I wish that this shoe was available in a bronze or brown leather. I am keeping both the black and the pewter. Glad to have a shoe that is both cute and feels great!! Thanks Zappos!!

Really like these shoes! Have never had such support for my flat and pronating feet without having to wear orthodics. These are my first elegant Aetrex sandals and wont be the last. Wore them 6hrs straight the first time and could have kept them on longer. I do have a narrower foot so the straps weren't an issue.

These are shoes arevreally very comfortable! I bought them to wear to a formal and I DO have problem feet. I stood a lot during the evening, but my feet were fine. I normally wear an 11 W, but the wide really is too wide in this particular show. Not a big problem, but if they stretch out more they won't work. Good arch support and comfortable, cushioned foot bed.

Really liked the look of this shoe--both online and when I received it in the mail, but the shoe is way too narrow. The straps at the front really cut into your feet and make your feet look much bigger then they are. For people who have narrow feet and think that medium sizing is too wide, these shoes would probably be perfect. Otherwise, I would advise looking for a shoe that runs true to size in terms of width. Disappointed with this purchase because with the exception of the width issue, these shoes were exactly what I'd been looking for. Lucy

I so badly wanted these shoes to work for me. In my search for a comfortable, therapeutic sandal that wouldn't require the use of orthotics, I came across the Aetrex company. Their remarkable reviews gave me hope for the spring and summer ahead. Neuromuscular disease requires for me a well built shoe, and a memory foam sole with a well placed in-step are a treat for these feet. Well, these shoes did Indeed have a fabulous sole that was cushiony and comforting, with fantastic arch support while I stood in them. Unfortunately though, the shoes were very narrow. While I was able to get them on, the velcro straps connected at an awkward spot, leaving about 1/3 or more of the velcro exposed. While my foot is on the wider side of medium width, I have never had to buy a "wide" shoe. In addition, my toes kept sliding forward, curling off the front edge of the shoe. Back they go. Best shoe I have put on! I was looking for a flip flop/sandal while I was pregnant over this coming summer and I have fallen in love with this shoe. They are beyond comfortable and the high arch support is great for my lower back. I can't even wear my Chacos now because I am so in love with these. They are soft on the foot and the memory foam is great! I would highly recommend these to anyone, even though they are a bit pricey it's worth every penny if you have lower back or high arch issues!

I love these shoes! The first day I got them I wore them all day at work and then to the mall. They are very comfortable and cute. I have received 2 compliments on them the first two times I wore them.
